She knew Bucky wasn't okay, but Katherine saw her brother making his way over to Loki and quickly took off. Kat loved her brother but even without the full use of his legs was still running headfirst into danger. Coming to a stop just as Mathew did she made sure to keep herself between them. Even though she knew how strong Loki was it didn't matter if she could give Matty time to get away she would. Her brother glanced up at her as if he wasn't trying to talk to a mass murdering alien. Reaching around her he held his hand out to the Asgardian.

"I thought I'd come over and introduce myself, Mathew Blake. I'm Katherine's brother." He stared up at the man expectantly with a genial smile on his stupid, looks very similar to her, face.

"Loki, Prince of Asgard and God of Mischief, brother of Thor." The feeling of Loki's arm bushing against her side made her take a step out of the way to stand next to Mathew. Katherine glared up at him as he completely ignored her to talk to Mathew. With a hand over his heart he bowed respectfully or so it seemed. "I wish to convey my most sincere apologies for any harm that my actions caused you."

Katherine's eyes widened at that. Who had told him that Mathew had been hurt during his invasion? She scanned the room for who would share information about her family without her permission and saw that almost everyone was either blatantly staring at them or being a little more covert about it.

Figures.

They were as bad as high school girls wanting all the hot gossip. As she was about to focus her attention back on the pair next to her Katherine saw that Steve was talking to Bucky. Good she felt bad for just taking off, but he knew how much Mathew meant to her.

"Do you mean that or are you just saying it because you think that will win you points for whatever deal you made?" Okay she took it back, Mathew was smartly handsome. Smirking up at Loki she waited for his answer with a hand on her brother's shoulder.

Emerald green eyes flick over to her before looking down at Mathew. Why did she suddenly get the feeling that he was being sincere? No, he was a piece of shit who'd come to enslave their planet and hurt her brother. He didn't get to feel bad that he got caught and had to deal with the consequences. Narrowing her eyes at him she clenched her jaw and free hand into a fist.

"Truly, I mean what I say. Not to say I am not completely blameless for what I did to Midgard." Katherine could tell Loki was talking to her as much as he was to Mathew. Why he thought her opinion would change she didn't know, but she wanted to let him know she saw through his lies. "I allowed my own actions to get out of my control which led me to some... people who took advantage of my anger for my family and it weakened my mind to their manipulation."

She scoffed angrily and crossed her arms under her breasts popping out her right hip. "And I'm the tooth fairy. You can stop this whole 'I was brainwashed' bullshit cause I'm not buying it."

Giving her a hard look, the Asgardian mirrored her stance minus the hip popping. "Apparently it doesn't matter what I had or hadn't have happen to me, seeing as you've already made up your mind about me, little witch."

An idea popped into Katherine's head. Grinning up at him she tapped the back of her fingers to his chest, "Fine, prove it."

"And how exactly am I to do that?" Loki asks exasperatedly. Stepping closer Kat placed her hand firmly on his chest and crooked her finger at him to lean down. "Am I to whisper it to you? I thought it didn't matter what I said. How is this going to change your mind?"

Rolling her eyes she flicked his nose making him frown at her. "Shut up and do as you're told."

"Katherine what are you doing?" Turning to see Natasha walking over with Fury and Tony on her heels. She sighs as she backs away from Loki to tell them all, "If we wanna know for certain then I have a way to find out if he's telling us the truth or if he's full of shit."
