The Corruption of Terraria

Chapter 1 The Chaos Began

"Sorry, keh.. You should've seen the look on your face!" said Reiko, jerkishly. "Uh, miss, we have a problem.. THERES A CORRUPTION BIOME!" Cried Ari. Ari, looked around her wings, and there it was, the corruption. Purple trees with bitter purple leaves.. Dark chasms leading to nowhere, and purple VILE grass. The green verdant grass started to decay when the corruption spread. "Aah!" cried Ari, she flew away, grabbing Reiko back to the house. "AAH! TOO HIGH!" screamed Reiko. She flew over a very tall hill. Her hands clutched her wings tightly. "AAH! TOO FAR!" she shouted, and the Corruption reached the peak of the hill. There were many purple trees, like those, but instead of leaving the trees, they kept growing. When they were about to break out of the trees, they began to sprout, into other green trees. The trees were growing, so fast. Like a virus.. The Corruption had found a new host. Reiko and Ari looked at each other, and there was a glimmer of understanding between them. Suddenly, the corruption began to take over their host. The ground began to shake.. Shaking and shaking.. Until, they stopped. In the middle of the hill. A massive purple-and-white tree, with no leaves, and no branches. Ari flew her into the house, the three were inside, in a panic. "What do we do, what do we do?" cried Ari. "The Corruption is taking over.." said Reiko. She started to cry. "Please, let us be okay.. I don't want this corruption." Said Reiko. "Okay.. I'll try." said Ari, she flew up, and started flapping her wings fast, and hard. She tried to fly through the Corruption. She flew too fast, and her wings collapsed. "I can't do this!" she cried. Reiko started to cry. "NO, you have to get us out of here." Reiko said. "You can't take off, the Corruption is here." said Ari. "I'll try!" cried Ari. Ari ran out the house. The green grass quickly decayed into purple, and Ari's eyes began to glow red. She stopped her effort. Ari was now not in control of her body anymore. Reiko was afraid. "A- Ari? ARI CAN YOU HEAR ME!?" Reiko screamed. "NOOOOOO!!! ARI! MY ONLY BEST FRIEND!" Reiko cried. Suddenly, Ari's eyes stopped glowing red. Maybe it was over? Was it gone? No.. Was it.. Purification powder? Ari looked at the small container on the table. No.. It was just a fake! Ari was safe. Reiko sighed. She felt like her heart was broken..

"S- S- Sorry.... I am so sorry..."Reiko's lips trembled. The tears fell down her cheeks. How could I make my best friend, my only best friend, feel so pain? How could I be the one who made her sad? Reiko would never forget. Ari's words were clear and pure."If you are not going to live your life, let me live mine! I WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU!"Ari's words echoed in Reiko's head. The tears stopped rolling down her cheeks. Reiko's eyes widened. She looked at Ari. The same girl whom she has known since she was a child. The same girl who helped Reiko to become the strongest girl she could ever imagine.
