Chapter 3 City of the Skies

"We're here!" Squealed Reiko, as excitement flared through her. "Anyways, theres a shop with a clentaminator here somewhere.. Aha!" Ari had found it! She had guided Reiko towards the shop, and went in. Inside they found a somewhat sarcastic, and sassy shopkeeper. The shopkeeper had all sorts of steampunk equipment and tools! Like a clentaminator, a tool used to purify and or spread the corruption! It comes with green solution as ammo for the clentaminator.Reiko was curious, "Um.. can we make a clentaminator gun and purify the Corruption?" Ari nodded, "Hm, i guess. You are very knowledgeable so i guess you can make one." The shopkeeper pointed to a shelf above the clentaminator and said, "there are all sorts of guns and tools. I can make you one that uses your own corruption as the ammo and you can even purify the corruption. The more Corruption you use, the more it can be purified." Ari nodded, "Good. This is the one i want." The shopkeeper grabbed a small black box and opened it. He took out a small red object, and handed it to Ari. "What is that?" Reiko asked.The shopkeeper replied, "it's an amulet.. i hope you don't mind using it..""Oh no, we can purify the corruption using the amulet. It's called a Purification Amulet.."Reiko stared in amazement at the amulet. "How does it work?" Reiko asked.The shopkeeper answered, "It comes with a spell.. The amulet stores the spell in it's enchantment. With the touch of the enchanted amulet, you can cast a spell." Ari turned around to see if she could cast a spell, and to the great dismay of the shopkeeper, she couldn't.The shopkeeper exclaimed, "Oh my! You have no spellcrafting, and you have a corrupted soul? And you even want to purify the corruption?""Of course!" Ari exclaimed, "The shopkeeper nodded, "Fine.. i'll make the amulet and i'll cast a spell on it for you..""The amulet was made to do this?" Reiko asked."Yes, we are very good at crafting the things we make." The shopkeeper answered. "Wait a sec.. Doesn't the Clentaminator cost 1 Platinum? Thats 100 gold coins!" Reiko pointed out. "Yes.. Yes.." said the shopkeeper. "Hold on.. AGH! I dont have 1 platinum! Just 46 gold coins, 20 silver, and 89 copper!" Said Ari distressed. Ari was sad, she didnt have that much money. Neither did Reiko, she lost all of hers. "I dont know what to do.." said Reiko as they both sat in the corner, watching each other for an idea. "So.. How would you guys pay for a Clentaminator?" asked the shopkeeper in a monotone. "I... I have an idea." Reiko said as she got up, with a little spark in her eyes. She pointed to the floor, with her thumb up. "Umm... See, this floor isnt that dirty, isnt it?" She questioned the shopkeeper. "Well.. Yeah, uhh.. It is" replied the shopkeeper. Reiko gave Ari a look. She turned to the shopkeeper and went "Hmmm.. You could put this on your floor instead, and not charge for it. We could each give you 1 gold coin each for it and pay with the Clentaminator. I will trade it for the platinum one. See, it isnt that dirty, afterall!"
