The sound of Silent screams filled the quiet house and the faint sound of punching. Like someone was punching another person with a lot of force.

"And that's for arguing back at me!" her father shouted at her after he had finished his daily routine.

"I'm sure you won't do it again, will you darling?" he asked, wiping away her tears from her cheek. She nodded violently, moving his hand away from her face, "I promise" she whispered, looking down at her feet. He lifted her chin up so they were looking into each other eyes, "good girl" he smiled.

She ran straight upstairs, and slammed her door behind her, echoing through the whole house. She couldn't get his smug smile out of her head. He was always there. Where ever she was, he was always there inher mind. Just to let you know, to make her life even more miserable, her dad abuses her, to the point she can't cope with it.

She always covers her bruises up with thick layers of foundation so no one can see them. This makes her feel more horrible. He does it when her mum goes out, and that's most of the time, and he can never stop. Every punch, every kick is more powerful. Every horrible word said is more powerful. Her tears stain her cheeks stained her pillow with black from her mascara.

"Why me? why does it always have to happen to me?" she sobbed into her pillow. She wanted to let all her emotions out by screaming. It's the only way, isn't it? Screaming helps all the pain go away. But not for her. The pain will never go away. The pain she feels with never go away.

She got her little box from the back of her bed and opened it, revealing all her treasures. She smiled, thinking which one to use today. This wasalways the hardest part for her, having to choose which one to use. Finally, she chose her one and played it with her fingers.

The sharp object slid across her perfect skin, breaking the skin aroundit. She repeated this until her whole wrist was cut open. And then, she would start on her other wrist. Now she feels happy. Because she deserves this. It's like a punishment to herself.

The thing is, her parents don't know she does this every night, so shehas to keep silent about it. Her dad wouldn't really care, because helikes to see her get hurt, so he would just laugh at her if he saw her cuts.Whereas, her mum would be heartbroken, because she loves her, andshe doesn't want anything bad to happen to her precious daughter.

So the best thing is to keep silent about all of this, so no one can worryabout her.
