Yours and Jaymi’s daughter wasn’t getting any younger and either were you. You both knew she would start getting into boys, get married and have kids.
“Mum....Dad. There’s a boy I like and he likes me to.... and um yeah. That’s it” Your 16 year old daughter asks looking down.
“Um Miss Hensley are you trying to tell us you have a boyfriend” You ask
“He wants you meet you both. Tomorrow night?”
“WHAT? ARE YOU CRAZY” Jaymi shouted making your daughter shuffle backwards.
“We don’t know anything about him” You said putting your hand on Jaymu’s shoulder.
“He’s really nice. Please Dad?”
“Fine?”
Lacey (the daughter) walks in the house with this boy a little taller than her.
“Mum. Dad this is Liam?” She says
“Hi liam. I’m Y/N and this is Jaymi. Were her parents?” You said putting your hand out for him to shake.
“Well of course you’re her parent. Dhhhh?”
“Rightwell.... let’s eat?” You said forcing a simile.
You all sat around the table, Liam grabbing loads of food having no table manners.
“So Liam” Said Jaymi “What are you like at school”
“I don’t really have much interest” He said then carried on talking. “Nearly got kicked out last term for getting in to fights. Teacher’s hate me” Liam said
“You did get good grades though” Lacey said
“I showed you my report and my results. The highest I got was a D”
After eating Liam left.
“Lace, what are you doing with a boy like that.” Jaymi said
“Jaymi” You sigh but Jaymi ignores you.
“He isn’t good enough for you! He’s sooooo rude! And don’t forget about the fights and terrible grades. What is wrong with you?” Jaymi continued.
“I’m sorry dad...” She mumbles “ But I love him, and nothing you say or do is gonna change my mind. He’s my boyfriend, so stay out of it” She storms to her room leaving you alone with a very angry Jaymi.
Jaymi kept going through what he just said in his head.
“He’s gonna hurt my little girl” Jaymi murmured, as he gives you a hug.
“She’s 16 babe. She’s old enough to make her own decisions.
“Your right. I just don’t want her to get hurt.”
“I know and I don’t what her either. You’re just being her daddy and the best one in the world”
