It was the day before yours and Josh’s oldest daughter Amy just ages 16 was auditioning for the x factor. You and Josh were so proud of her. Amy started singing when she was 7, you both found out when you returned home and you could both hear her singing ‘You Got It All’. You crept up stairs to her room and listened through the door but Josh made a noise, and caused her to stop singing. Amy opened the door with a bright red face.
“My baby girl has a singing voice” Josh said giving her a hug.
“Dad please? Don’t. Why were you listening?”
“We didn’t mean to, we came in and heard you?” Josh said.
That happened a few months ago, it was the day before she was auditioning, and Josh was more scared than she was. She was practicing every day when you went out the house as she didn’t want you to know what song she was singing.
You all had tea, Amy being 16 she cooked for herself most the time, but you had 3 year old twins to feed. Your son you and Josh named Joshua Thomas John Cuthbert Jr and his twin sister Amelia J Cuthbert. All your children had the letter ‘J’ in their name (you know why.)
It got to 10pm and you went to bed as you had to be up at 4am. You both weren’t looking forward to waking Amy up, she wasn’t a morning person.
Josh’s alarm went off, you groaned not wanting to wake up. You left it up to Josh to wake Amy up and woke up the twins. Josh walked to Amy’s room.
“Amy, you have to wake up” She groaned. “Come on, you will go amazing.” Josh said.
20 minutes later you were all in the car driving up to the London auditions.
You all were queuing for nearly 4 hours until her number got called. The producer said to walk on stage.
“Hi sweetheart” Tulisa said smiling.
“Hi” She said back
“What’s your name?”
“Amy ---“ She was scared as hell.
“Don’t worry” Tulisa said “Everyone gets nervous”
At that moment Josh ran on and Amy ran to his arms.
“You can do this baby girl” Josh said rubbing her back.
“Amy” Tulisa said, Amy turning her face. “Do you want your dad to sit with us, if we get another chair” She nodded. A producer brought on a chair and Josh went and sat next to Tuslia. A few moments later she started singing Beautiful Life.
“She sees the world through TV screens
All of her friends in magazines
But everyday she lives a broken dream

beautiful life” All 4 judges were on their feet and Amy could see tears falling from Josh’s eyes. He ran up to and hugged you so tight.
“Louis what did you think” Tulisa said
“You have a amazing voice, just like your dad did when we heard him audition. Josh you should be proud” Josh wrapped his arms around Amy.
After all the judge what their bit it came down to the votes.
“I think we should it together” Gary said “3.2.1”
“YES!!!” All the judges shouted. Amy started crying, Amy and Josh walk off stage to see you in tears. Josh Jr and Amelia ran up to Amy and hugged her.
“You did amazing” You said.
*skip to the final*
Amy was standing with her mentor – Tulisa and the runner up who was this guy.
“And the winner is.......” Dermot said and paused. You and the others were in the audience.
“AMY!” You and Josh broke down in tears and so did Amy. Her and Tulisa hugged. Then Dermot came over.
“Amy how do you feel” Dermot asked
“Shocked. I just want to say thank you to everyone who voted. And thank you to my mum and dad and friends and family. I love you mum, dad and of course of my little brother and sister who are at the our grandma’s. Love you Josh Jr and Amelia”
“Tulisa how do you feel”
“I’m just so proud of Amy and so should her parents. You have raised a really talented girl”
“Give it up to your winner Amy Cuthbert”
