Chapter 5: Nightmare

~A/N~
So this probably has some spelling errors in this one, sorry I was half asleep while writing it. Also in, I believe it was chapter three, I made a mistake, I had moondrop call Y/N a girl but this isn't a book for just females. Reader (or, Moss, as I call them when I'm just thinking to myself about the book-) is genderless/nonbinary. So sorry about that-

Y/Ns POV

"Shit-!" I yelped as I'd just stubbed my toe. I looked behind me and heard glitched laughing. I had no time to stop and worry about that stub. I kept running. The path split two ways and I didn't know which way to go. Then I heard what sounded like a gate crashing down on my right. Sooo I ran left. I found an old locker and quickly hid in it. Just after I did I heard stomping pass me.

I looked through the little slots and saw something pass me taking the sound of the heavy footsteps with it. Then I saw something smaller with lighter footsteps pass me. After a few moments I jumped out and tried to make a run for it. I went in the opposite direction of the smaller thing. It felt more intimidating then the big one. As I ran I ran into something large that felt like metal. I looked up to see what it was but before I got a good look it slashed my throat. It wasn't enough to kill me though luckily.

I quickly turned and held my hand to my throat as I sprinted back the way I came. Then I saw an open vent and quickly used it to escape the area. I crawled as fast as I could with one hand. When I found the way out of the vents I saw a familiar large golden statue. Relief washed over me as I saw it. I quickly hopped out of the vents and ran to try and find the only one I trusted. I surched the whole place but he was nowhere.

"Sunny!?" I choaked out. Suddenly I heard bannging on the wooden doors. My eyes widened and I dashed to the main desk. On my way there I tripped over something I hadn't seen. I looked down to see what it was.

The second I saw it I started to cry. I cried heavily letting out pained and choaked sobbs. Blood and oil was pooling on the floor and spilling out the cuts on my body. I started to feel lightheaded as the wooden doors burst open. Without thinking I flopped down and watched with dull eyes as someone walked in and looked at me and the person next to me for moments. Before leaving us to die.. I started to let out my choaked and pained sobbs again.. falling into darkness.

Sundrops POV

I watched Y/N as they slept. Nothing else much to do as I was being used as their pillow at the moment. The lights of the mall had gone out twice since they fell asleep. But I just stayed there with them. I saw their face shift every so often. Never to a happy expression though.

Y/N started to sob suddenly. My eyes widened and worry filled me. After maybe 10 minutes of them crying I started to lightly shake them, hoping they'd wake up. After a little bit of shaking they finally woke up. The sat up quickly breathing heavily. They turned quickly checking all sides of them, but putting strain on their shoulders. Quickly I pulled them into a hug to try and calm them down. They looked up at me and once they saw I was there they calmed a bit.

"Y/N! Are you ok!?" I asked full of worry. They nodded sniffling some.

"I-im fine sunny.. it was just a nightmare.." they muttered hugging me back. I sighed a bit to know they were OK.

"Do you want to do something to calm down?!" I asked. I tried to show excitement to them as they alwase seemed to park up when I got cheerful. They smiled and nodded. I would have smiled brighter if I was able too. I picked them up and carried them out of the play structure.

"What are we gonna do sunny?" They asked softly. I thought about it for a moment. I didn't want to do anything that would cause too much activity. They were already hurt and didn't need strain on their injuries. Then I remembered we had board games in the daycare!

"There are boardgames here if you'd like to play!" I said setting them down by a table. They smiled.

"That'd be lovely." They said. I nodded and went off to get one.

Y/Ns POV

Sundrop went off to get a boardgame for us to play and I let out a small sigh. Knowing he was ok was the biggest relief I'd felt in a long while. Especially after having a dream where I saw him dismantled and leaking oil. He came back with fazbare and friends themed monopoly. I smiled as he set it down.

"What about this one!?" He asked.

"Why not. Seems fun." He grinned and say down across from me and started to set out the game peaces. I helped a bit, though he insisted on doing most of it. Once everything was set up we chose our peaces. He, of course, chose the one that looked like him. I picked out a fazer blaster and put that on the board. [No this game doesn't actually exist- I'm just making it for the purpose of the book] we started the game.

~~Time Skip~~

"Awe man!" I whined as I lost. Sundrop was giggling and happy he won. His cheerfulness is seriously contagious. I smiled a bit.

"Good game sunny." I said smiling. He hugged me and jumped a bit.

"You were so close to winning Y/N! Good job!" He cheered. I smiled and hugged him back.

"Awe thanks sunny." I said smiling. It was easy to be cheerful around sundrop. His laughter was contagious. But I was honestly still a little jumpy from my nightmare. Sunny set me back down then began to clean the game up. I smiled and reached to help, but he pushed my hands away and shook his head.

"No I've got it Y/N!" He said cheerfully. I sighed and nodded letting him do it. He got up and went to put it back where he'd found it. As he was gone I got lost in my thoughts. Many thoughts swirled around in my head.

I'm glad sunny exepts moondrop as part of himself now.

Who was that bunny person? She wasn't an animatronic, definitely a human in a bunny suit.

Did that child find some way out?

I just relsied sunny has Dissociative Identity Disorder[DID]

I'm tired..

I didn't notice sunny come back as I was too lost in my thoughts. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder and jumped. I quickly looked behind me to see.. sunny. I sighed and smiled.

"Oh sunny. Don't sneak up on me like that." I said with a light laugh.

"Sorry Y/N!" He said in his giddy way and sat down next to me.

"Something on your mind?" He asked me tilting his head. I gave a small smile and shook my head.

"No. Not really." I said.

So to clear up the thing about the game real quickly,

Yes monopoly exists but there isn't one themed off security breach. Or at least not yet. I'm sure someone is gonna make one at some point.

Again I'm going to apologize for something I apologized for in the first chapter.

I'm sorry if I get the personalities off a bit, I'm not the best at getting them right.
