The crunch of the snow under your foot is heard as you make your way into the forest of trees. Dakota stays right by your side as Aspen runs around jumping in snow mounds having the time of her life. You chuckle shaking your head as you watch her trip over a tree root sticking out of the ground. "Be careful where you're running Aspen, don't want you getting hurt now do we?" In embarrassment, Aspen looks down at the ground trotting away back over to you and Dakota.

The forest gets thicker and thicker as you walk hoping to get to your favorite hunting spot before sunset not wanting to be home late nor wanting to run into those filthy mutts. The sound of birds chirping in the distance feels your ears as you look around. It may seem glooming and dead but it is full of life just hidden away for its safety and preservation of it. A crunch is heard to your left as sense becomes on high alert. Knocking an arrow in place you aim for the thicket of bushes ready to let the arrow loose.

Slowly the arrow is lowered when a small melanistic fox comes out from the bushes. It pauses its movements when seeing you and your friendly companions. You put the arrow back and dropped your bow. The twins sit not wanting to seem threatening either as you get down on one knee slowly to not alarm the little thing.

"Come here don't worry I won't hurt you", you hold your hand out slowly but the fox still didn't move. Remembering you had some meat stuffed in your bag you signal for Aspen who was closer to you to find some dried deer. Aspen rummages through the bag as you kept eyes on the little guy. Quickly Aspen finds the meat and drops it into your already open hand. And the slight movement the fox becomes more rigid and alert ready to sprint away at any given chance. Seeing this you stop before continuing your hand locking eyes with the small and magnificent creature. You toss the meat towards the fox scaring it a bit as it retreats further away but making advances on the meat.

Smiling a genuine smile as it begins to nibble on the meat its ears perking up as it seems happy. Getting up you grab your bow and start back walking as that little stop cost you time. The twins run ahead seeing as the best hunting ground is nearer to that blasted factory which means higher chances of getting caught or eaten. The sky as you continue starts turning a bit yellowish but you stop as most likely any further and a lycan may smell you. Scanning the trees your eyes land on a tall pine tree the limbs look sturdy enough and strong enough to haul your weight so you begin climbing. Aspen hiding among the snowbanks as her pure white fur helps her stay hidden and Dakota amongst the bushes and shadows of the trees his black as night fur aiding him in it.

You perch yourself on a branch high enough off the ground to not be seen and for your smell to be hidden. You lean on the trunk of the tree knowing it may be a while before a deer or some animal comes so it's better to just relax as you wait. Your eyes close as your mind wanders back to the black-haired beauty that lives up in that castle.

'I bet it would be really fun to get to know her if it wasn't for the part that she's a fucking monster and kills people mercilessly not even with a single thought.'

An image of the beauty in white pops up and you feel yourself redden to the image. She's wearing a yellow sundress with a white hat and that smile of hers is genuine and loving as if she's directing it mainly towards you, but that couldn't be possible she hates you and you hate her or do you? You will have to ponder that thought later for you hear the crunch of snow beneath feet coming. Popping an arrow into place and the twins readying to pounce when given the signal teeth barred. You point the arrow to the place where you heard the sound from eyes trained on that one spot but start to widen when they see who and what comes out from the trees.
