"I assume everything is ready?" I say to Tami my personal assistance as I walk out of my office.

"Yes Mr. Jeon, everything is ready." She says moving from behind her desk and walking with me down the hall. "I sent your tickets and your agenda to your phone. I'll ensure that all meetings scheduled are as we discussed. I'll coordinate all other details with the Michael Corporation and email you any changes. As always, I'll be available throughout your trip.  Your car is waiting downstair and I've arranged for a car to pick you up from the airport and take you directly to your hotel when your plane lands. Have a good trip sir." As the doors to the elevator opens, I nod gently. She turns and walks back to the office.

I enter the elevator with my head down and eyes glued to my phone checking my stocks. There are others in the elevator, but I have no interest in them as the elevator descends 44 floors. I smile, faintly seeing the rise in certain stocks of which I have an interest.

When the doors open, I stuff my phone into my pocket and I hear the soft voice of a small child.

"Merry Christmas sir!" I see her yet I don't. I have no concern for anything other than my business and making money. If this deal goes through, I will be the youngest CEO of a top 10 corporation in Korea. I find that thought exciting.  While everyone else will be giving useless gifts, singing stupid holiday songs, and getting fat off their holiday feasting I'll be taking the Jeon Corporation to new a level. A level no one believed I could achieve. At least at 26 years of age. What better gift could there be. What more could I want. Nothing.

I scoff in annoyance as I pass the child ignoring her cheerful Christmas greeting.

I step onto the sidewalk and my driver Keoki is waiting and holds open the door of my sleek black limousine. He looks straight ahead and takes my one carry-on rolling bag.

"Good evening, Mr. Jeon," he says in a welcoming voice. I softly nod and slide across the soft black leather seats. Keoki has been my driver for two years. He's dependable and other then a simple greeting he says little else unless it's important or I ask. I don't ask. He knows not to engage me and just drive. That's what I want and expect. Everyone doing their fucking jobs. Besides what could he possibly share with me. We come from different worlds. He's a driver for god sakes. What could we possibly have in common? Evidently, he is uneducated and with low motivations. Why else would he choose a lowly position as a driver?

We reach the airport in good time. The private flight Tami booked is waiting. The trip from South Korea to LA will take 14 hours. That's a long time to be in flight but it's worth it. Mr. Michael's a US businessman with a struggling company. I simply made him an offer he couldn't refuse. I know others think of me as ruthless. The hell with them, it's just good business. I'm getting his company at a steal. I'd be a fool to not jump at this opportunity. While others are taking their Christmas holidays, I'm making deals and money. Business and money never sleep. I'll restructure his company with new management and machines. Ninety percent of his staff are useless. My first order of business will be to fire them. Why keep them when one machine can do the job of twenty people? It just makes sense. Also, machines don't want time off, vacations and don't get pregnant and want 6-8 week of maternity paid leave. Why the fuck is that my problem anyway? I'm not looking for a win-win for everyone. Just a win for me and my interest. Mr. Michaels can either take my offer or lose his company. He should be grateful that I'm offering him an all-cash deal.  This way he gets to walk away with a shitload of money.

The Limo comes to a stop and Keoki steps out, comes around and opens my door. He passes me my rollaway luggage and I proceed towards the plane.
