I nervously rake fingers through my hair as I sit quietly. I rise and start to return to Kookie and my phone rings. I smile seeing who it is.
"Hi Tae! Merry Christmas!
"Merry Christmas to you too Yeona! How are you?"
"I'm doing well! I've had a great holiday unbelievably. My daughter is happy, and I've been enjoying my personal pamper time. I also met a very nice doctor at the hospital, and he invited me over for Christmas. Wasn't that sweet?" Her voice is near giddy, and I am happy for her. Yeona works very hard and is a great mother. "That's great Yeona. So, is this serious?"

I walk out to the dining area and Kookie is in deep conversation with his father. What a wonderful, unexpected Christmas gift he has received. It's a Christmas miracle.
