its light shone through the gap between my curtains,
it landed peacefully on my bed, comforting my tears which fell down my cheeks.
it sat there, the light.
it tugged on my hair and watched me from my desk.
the silence it gave me was comforting &
it let me think without being interrupted.
though i knew it would go, i prayed it wouldn't because its presence was tranquil, though it was a cold night, it warmed me from the heart.but when i woke, i cursed at the new illumination who took its place where it once laid.
