Jinyoung had no idea someone could smell so sweet.

When he woke up that morning, he could smell nothing but the scent of roses, sugar cookies, and vanilla-- basically a mixture of anything he enjoyed. He took in a deep breath, turning his head toward the scent, his nose suddenly engulfed by sweet warmth. His eyes fluttered open, the lavandar color of his purple night tunic and the glow of bare skin filling his vision.

He blinked the sleep out of his eyes, shifting his head just slightly. His head lifted and fell with the rhythm of what it was resting on— quickly identified as Jackson's chest. He'd forgotten that he asked the vampire to stay the night with him, but was pleasantly reminded as he sank into the warmth of the latter's body. Jackson had borrowed one of his nightwears, which oddly gave Jinyoung a sense of pride seeing him in his clothes, and the pair cuddled up for the night which was more than comfortable. It may have been the best sleep of Jinyoung's life.

It all felt like a dream, but the fact that Jinyoung could feel the vampire in his arms, smell him, nuzzle against his chest— this time it was too real to be a dream. He glanced up at Jackson's peaceful face, so calm and serene. He couldn't help but reach up and caress his cheek, so soft under his fingertips.

"How was I so lucky..." He mumbled to himself in awe; not only did he find his vampire, but he'd somehow bloomed this close relationship that he wanted to protect with everything he had. He was quite fortunate.

"If you call this lucky then you must have the worst odds."

Jinyoung jolted, his hand retreating from the vampire's skin. Jackson's eyes opened, his gaze focusing on the face hovering over him. Almost instantly his pupils filled with admiration; a look that made the butterflies in Jinyoung's stomach flutter.

He couldn't help but smile and giggle.

Despite his cheeks warming slightly, he played along. "Would you rather me sleep beside some other creature out there?"

Jinyoung sucked in a breath feeling the way Jackson's arms squeezed tighter around his waist, his satisfying possessiveness sending tingles through the latter's body.

"I... don't think of such scenarios." He responded.

Jinyoung hummed, his smile widening.

"Good." He mumbled while leaning to give Jackson a reassuring kiss.

The latter gratefully accepted, their lips melding together like they had so many times before at this point, but still feeling brand new. Jackson's hand slid up Jinyoung's spine, keeping him close— not that Jinyoung had planned on moving.

"You smell so good. Better than before." The vampire mumbled between kisses.

Jinyoung pulled back, cocking his head curiously. "Before?"

"Before I gave you my blood. I can smell you so much stronger." Jackson leaned up, following Jinyoung lips, kissing him again.

Jinyoung pulled back further. "H-How so?"

"I don't know but-" This time Jackson tugged the latter back down so their lips could meet yet again, using enough strength to keep Jinyoung from running away. "-vampires tend to keep track of their own blood so, it must be my senses going crazy."

Jinyoung's already existing flush deepened, his heart thumping rapidly. "Then, I like that I can make you go crazy."

Jackson let out a breathy laugh, his dark eyes still focused on the other's lips. "Yeah?"

Jinyoung mindlessly nodded, granting both of their desires and pressing their lips together again. He could barely pay attention to much else with his heart thrumming in his ears as he drowned in Jackson's presence. His strong hands traced invisible shapes along his back, their bare skin separated by only a thin layer of fabric. Jinyoung could feel himself slowly losing his mind, all other thoughts aside from Jackson and his perfect soft body irrelvant.
