Jinyoung's eyes fluttered open, the sun beaming into his face temporarily blinding him. He rose his hand to block out the brightness, blinking a few times to clear his vision.

A figure hovered over him, not immediately recognizable, but as the morning blur disappeared, he was easily able to discern who it was.

It was almost angelic, the way Jackson's skin glowed in the morning light, those eyes clear and beautiful as they gazed down at the prince. Jinyoung's voice caught in his throat as if the sight was too gorgeous to formulate words; he wanted to say something but simply couldn't.

Delicate fingers slid down his cheek, so warm and familiar. It filled Jinyoung with butterflies from the top of his head to the tip of his toes; Jackson's warmth, touch, and presence easily made him melt away into a mess of bubbly joy. He didn't even question the vampire's appearance, he simply laid there and enjoyed their moment.

"Good morning." That husky voice greeted, a small smile spreading across his lips. "Hungry?"

Jinyoung mindlessly nodded, though he didn't feel the emptiness of his stomach. He didn't feel much of anything except Jackson's warmth. Low chuckles filled his ears, a noise that he wasn't sure if he'd heard come from the creature before.

"So honest... and so breathtaking, even after just waking up..." The vampire mumbled out his words as he caressed Jinyoung's jaw, tilting his head slightly up. "Before you eat, I must do something..."

Jackson leaned in, his lids slipping closed as the distance between the two gradually lessened. Jinyoung's lips parted in shameless desire, his skin heating up as he anticipated the sweetness of the vampire's mouth. Their lips pressed together in a soft collision, warm and gentle, and though Jinyoung knew he was internally happy, he didn't feel much.

Usually he'd be floating on air, goosebumps all over, searing the feel of Jackson's mouth into his head; but for some reason, he didn't feel any of that. His heart was pumping, but not as fast as it usually did when Jackson was around. His body was tingling, but it didn't make him feel all that giddy like it normally did.

Jackson pulled back and stared down at the prince.

"I want you, Jinyoung." He muttered, though his eyes were suddenly somewhat unfocused, and his voice was a bit off.

The prince frowned in confusion as his world seemed to suddenly fall apart. Jackson melted away, leaving him cold and alone. He attempted to reach out for the vampire, leaning forward to chase the remnants of him that were left.

Jinyoung suddenly jolted upward in his bed. He blinked, looking around.

Jackson wasn't here. It was morning, but that was the only part of his dream that remained true. Otherwise, he was totally alone in his bedroom. His eyes caught on the bright pink petals of the flower that stuck out of the white ceramic vase sitting on the dresser across the room, reminding him of reality.

He should've known all of that was way too good to be true.

He let out a soft sigh, his head sinking into his hands. He shifted where he sat, jolting as he noticed how tight his trousers were. He didn't need to look under the covers to understand his own bodily functions; he was still a man raging with hormones just like any other.

Just as he began to lift the covers to possibly take care of the issue, a knock on his door interrupted. He tugged the thick covers over his hips as the visitor let themselves in.

"Good morning, my prince."

Jinyoung sighed, rubbing his eyes. "Why am I in the palace..."

"You've been here for the past few weeks..."
