Jinyoung's nose practically brushed the mirror he was holding up to his face.

He was leaning over his dresser, examining his fangs that currently hung at full length; smaller than Jackson's but bigger than his previous set of canines. They were definitely noticeable when he talked, as he hadn't gotten used to their presence yet, and he couldn't properly hide them.

He still wasn't completely sure what to think. He was interested in vampires, and greatly admired Jackson, but the thought of himself being one had never crossed his mind. He didn't know if he would miss his human form, nor did he know if he would enjoy his vampire form. From the way Jackson explained it though, he was still part human. A half-blood, he called it; not as powerful as a pure vampire, but basically an upgraded human. He could only wonder what exactly that meant, and he was eager to see what was in store for him in this new state.

As he observed his mouth, he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine; as if he were being watched. He kept getting that feeling as of late, which he wouldn't normally think of much, but this time it was quite intense. He quickly turned around, relaxing once he spotted Jackson standing in his door frame.

"What are you doing?"

He let out a breath of relief. "You scared me..."

"You weren't scared, you were alert." Jackson replied, stepping further into the room. "That is how I always know I can find you, my senses are acute, and now yours are strengthening too. It feels strange at first, and might startle you, but you'll get used to it."

Jinyoung set down his mirror, turning to face him. "So that is why I have been feeling chills whenever someone is nearby?"

"Most likely. I don't know if it's true but, to me, it feels stronger when you can tell someone is looking for you."

"Were you looking for me just now?"

Jackson hummed while leaning in closer to the latter. "I knew exactly where you were, no need to look. But I did come to see you."

The prince flushed. He turned back to his dresser, picking up the mirror again and opening his mouth to gaze at his fangs. Jackson stood behind them, also taking a look.

"Teach me how to do the teeth trick." Jinyoung requested.

"Is that what you were trying to practice?"

Through the mirror, Jinyoung could see the amusement flashing in Jackson's eyes. He suddenly got embarrassed, setting the glass down again. "It is... cool..."

Jackson suddenly erupted into laughter; a sound that Jinyoung always cherished the few times he could hear it.

"'Cool?'" He mockingly repeated. "Hearing you say such a commoner's slang is so odd."

The latter spun around, naturally pouting at him. "But it is! I want to do it too! Teach me!"

"It takes time, relax." Jackson reached out and ruffled his hair, gazing fondly at him. "I will have to teach you to hide them, but for now just get used to them in your mouth. You spit when you talk, you know."

The latter self-consciously covered his mouth, awkwardly looking to the ground. "I-I am aware... sorry..."

"It's awkward, I know. You'll get used to it."

There was still more to being a vampire than the teeth; Jackosn had shown so much of his abilities-- he wondered if he would be able to do them too.

"What about... all the things you can do? The remarkable speed, and power, and the way your eyes glow--"

"One thing at a time." The elder advised. "You are in your most vulnerable state right now, a vampire who has no idea his own strength or capabilities. You have to be careful."
