Emma's smart. Like, super-duper smart.
Emma is very very good at logical thinking. She lives by do logical thinking.
Sometimes in her exam, Emma depends on her logical thinking to answer the questions she didn't study. And with her luck, she's correct.
Emma's smart. A genius.
And her parents doesn't really need to worry about her getting a bad score. They know Emma can do it. They believed in Emma.
And that's why, Emma doesn't want to disappoint them.
Emma always got the first place in her class. But there's this one time where Emma got fifth place. It's because Emma got cyber-bullied. She got stressed out too much because of it, she can't think straight and resulting her to answered most of the questions panickly.
Do you think you're that good?
Just because everyone likes you doesn't mean you're better than everyone.
Stop being ignorant.
You're a genius but you don't have to rub it all to our faces. We get it, you're smart and talented so stfu.
To make matters worse, Emma's parents got so shocked, they scolded her for this.
"You've always been good, what's wrong with you now?! Fifth place?! Are you pulling a prank on me?!"
"I'm not expecting anything from you after this. If you don't want to study anymore then tell me. I wouldn't have to worry about your school expenses anymore"
Emma can't speak up for herself. Emma won't.
Emma's so disappointed. She only failed this once, but Emma felt as if she had failed her entire life.
Emma's fifth-place-failure isn't really a failure. Fifth place is actually good. The score gap isn't that big.
After that, she didn't even bother to be clever anymore. Emma would always pretend like she doesn't know things despite her knowing every single thing.
Emma is tired of being disappointed with herself, she stop putting hope in herself.
Despite her expecting to fail, Emma keeps going on and on. Emma can't stop.
Emma's grades is good enough. The one who's not good enough is herself.
Emma's never good enough. For her family nor her friends.
Emma's never good enough for herself.
