What a Mess

The first thing Alador felt was a crashing wave of coldness. He sat up in his bed in alarm, gasping for air. Alador threw himself off his bed with a thud. He can hear giggling from somewhere. Wiping the water away, he looks at his now open door, seeing a flash of green duck behind the wall. Alador grumbled, since the twins turned seven, they got their magic and used it to play pranks on people. This was his usual morning now, getting pranked is the first event of his day.

Standing up, Alador walked over to his door and peered down the hall. The twins think they're slick by hiding around the corner, but Emira always forgets that Alador can see her foot stick out. Alador started to sneak down to the hall where the twins are. Carefully making sure where he plants his feet, as to not step on a creaky floorboard.

He made it to the end of the hallway, Alador blitzed around the corner and picked up his twins and threw them on his shoulders. Alador started to spin around while the twins were giggling with madness. Alador soon got too dizzy and put his children back on the ground. All of them started to catch their breaths from their morning's antics.

They caused quite the commotion and without realizing where they were, it awoke a very tired gremlin from her sleep. Amity's door opened to show her with a very not so happy expression. It's quite funny as Amity is short for a five-year-old, and how she still had her Otabin blanket and plushie in her hands. Instead of her family fearing her like they obviously should, they instead cooed at her cuteness. Making Amity face go all red with annoyance, which didn't help her case.

Alador got on his knees in front of Amity and gently pinched her cheek gently as to not cause any pain. "Sorry little one, why don't you go back to sleep, and I'll get one of the maids to fetch you for breakfast." Alador spoke in a gentle tone, so Amity doesn't cause chaos from being awoken. Amity seemed to be content with his apology and made a little grumble that held no malice.

She retreated to her room, leaving Alador and the twins by themselves again. Lightly chuckling, Alador sent the twins off so they could get ready for breakfast. He went back to his room and got ready for the day also. He decided to put on his work clothes already, so he doesn't have to change, since he plans to work right after breakfast.

Washing off the remaining abomination goo off his hands that he missed from last night's shower. With that done he was ready for the day. Walking out of the room and heading down the hall, Alador found a maid and made sure that she was going to go wake up Amity. Alador can tell the maid was nervous since Amity is a 'little difficult' to get up for the day. But it seems it wasn't one of those mornings for Amity, so the maid should have no problems. Hopefully.

Alador finally made it to the dining room. The only person in the room is his wife. She has a bored almost annoyed look on her face. Odalia is so invested in the newsletter she's reading that she hasn't noticed Alador entering the room. Alador took a seat next to his wife, who was sitting at the head of the table.

Alador leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes, he wanted to get a few extra minutes of sleep. Odalia put down her paper to find Alador taking a nap, very unlike a Blight. Clearing her throat to what she thought was loud enough to wake Alador, but apparently not. So, Odalia kicked his leg under the table. Alador yelped in pain, the fact that Odalia has pointed shoes on today just made the pain even worse.

Alador brought his leg up to his chair and started to rub it. Then the twins walked into the room, already in their school uniforms. They took a seat next to each other, now they just needed to wait for Amity....

Turns out a five-year-old can cause a lot of emotional damage to a maid. The other family members have no idea what trouble Amity caused, but the sounds of her screeching to be left alone then the sound of a door slamming gave them a hint. After a few moments of silence, Amity came into the dining room and took her seat next to her father. The maid came in soon after, holding her nose like a door slammed in her face. I wonder why?
