Stoned Heartening Strikes: Heartbreaks. (Sky x Bf/ Keith

Chapter Three: Concerning Reality.

Trigger Warning: Blood, Sickness.

Five minutes. The bluenettes had been hugging for five minutes, when Sky starts to cough. This alerts the singer, as she's coughing heavily. "Sky?!!! Sky, what is it?!" Sky tries to talk, but her coughing becomes to violent to do so. Miku, hearing her brother's sounds of distress, rushes inside of the room, only to look on in horror. Sky was coughing up blood, with Keith trying to aid her, although panicked. "I-IM GETTING HELP!" She screams, running out of the room to get the doctors. Eventually, Sky's coughing subsides, and eventually stops, leaving Sky to clean the blood off her hands, and a petrified Keith. "Sky.... What in the world was that...?" Keith is scared. Very scared. What is this poor girl suffering from..? He shivers thinking about the possibilities. It was mortifying. ".... My illness...." She whispered. Keith then looks at her, straight in those fuchsia eyes of hers, and sees something he hadn't noticed before.

Replacing her pupils, were two large, light blue colored hearts, cracking at the top. Huh.... Where did those come from..? "Sky..." He begins. "What's up with your eyes....?" He pats her head. "Are you okay..?" Sky takes a lengthy pause, lowering her head. "Sky...?" She looks away from him, sadness and shame visible on her face. ".... I can't tell you...." This confuses the young icon. "What...? Why not?" Sky, what's wrong....?" Sky in turn sighs. "I'm.... Surprised you care so much... After... What I did..." Keith cups his mouth with one hand. She still felt guilty about it...? Oh my.... More importantly.... She thought Keith didn't care about her, that's just so sad..... Keith wraps his arms around her, pulling her into a hug. Sky's eyes widen slightly in surprise. "K-Keith...? She stutters. Keith was hugging her... She knows she's hugged him before, but she never expected him to initiate a hug... But regardless, she welcomed it..... She felt so warm.. She looks up at Keith, who in turn, starts to speak.

"Of course I care about you Sky.... I admit, we didn't meet on the.... Best terms..... But I can't blame you...You must've been so lonely, and you were desperate for someone to care for you.... The way you executed it might've been wrong, but you just wanted a friend..." He rubs her back. "My actions back then couldn't be considered justified either, and they still can't ... I mean, I left you alone in an empty reality, that was terrible of me." Sky looks down. "I crucified Cherry for goodness sakes... I'm a demon....I deserved what happened then.... And I deserve what's happening now..." Keith widens his eyes. "Sky, look at me, look at me." Keith lifts her chin up, and they look at each other. "You don't deserve whats happening to you. You're coughing up blood for heaven's sakes. You may see yourself as a monster for what happened, but you know what I see?"

Sky stares at him. "What...?" She asks. "What I see, is a sweet, caring girl who was never given the chance to make a friend. You may be a demon, but you're the kindest one I've met by far, and I can tell. You've been nothing but a sweetheart to me since I came here, even comforting me when I was upset." He strokes her hair, making them both smile. "You deserve better than this Sky, know that." Right after that sentence, a doctor comes into the room with a grave look, a shaking Miku in tow. "Keith Hatsune." The doctor sighs upon Keith nodding. "Come with me, Sky requested to tell you and your sister about this privately." The siblings follow the doctor out of them room, Sky giving the siblings a little wave as they exit. When their far enough away, the doctor puts his hands on the siblings shoulders.

"I'm sorry you both had to find out about it this way.... But... Sky has Stoned Heartening. It's an unrequited love disease, where stone starts to grow in the heart of the victim. It grows in a slow, but gradual pace, until the victim's heart can no longer beat. The victim inflicted with this condition has their pupils replaced by hearts that represent the person they've fallen in love with. The person the victim loves has to confess to them to cure the illness, but there's a catch. The person cannot lie about their feelings towards the victim, and they have to confess before the hearts break completely. If the hearts in Sky's eyes break, her actual heart will shatter and she'll either end up in this doll state, unable to move or react, or....." The doctor hesitates.

"Or?!" Keith says in pure horror. He did not like where this was going. The doctor takes a pause, before saying the last part of the sentence. "She'll die..."

"SHE'LL WHAT?!!!"
