I am the chaos, I am the order.
I'm nobody, I'm everybody, and I'm everything around me.
I was born in a red white blue country,
made of blood and supremacy and the water licking both our coasts.
I was born in a country in a party blue,
I was made into something the color of blood
by tales of glory and heavy battered battle boots
and some need for something more to see in the mirror.
I was made into something,
somebody with ideas undecided.
I was made into something for posters for walls and for shame.
What is right? What am I?
I am a citizen who cannot complain, encouraged to complain that I'm not encouraged to complain.
The question of what I am is answered quite simply-
I am four letters and two numbers and the stars in the sky.
I am what I think about countries i've never been to,
I am what is right and wrong and I am three digits on a scale and I am the color of my eyes.
and I am the dot on a compass and
I am the numbers fulling my textbooks, weighing down on my shoulders,
I am everything I have to do,
I am a breath in a windstorm, I am somebody who denies a god,
I am somebody who wants somebody who wants to be somebody
and I am nobody unless I burn and burn and burn until I can feel the sting.
