The family looked at their youngest in confusion as Jin Ling had gone completely silent. Jin Ling was frozen in his spot at the table.

Suddenly, they were out their confusion in a hurry as Jin Ling had got up, suddenly rapidly and quick, he ran towards the door.

"A-Ling!!!" Jin Zixuan call out at the sudden urge of Jin Ling wanting to leave.

But Jin Ling didn't listen but he didn't go far as he collided with another person on his run. Both of them fell to the floor. Jin Ling touched his forehead.

"Oof!" Exclaimed the person as he also hurt in the collide.

"A-Ling, A-Yao!" Jiang Yanli cried out in worry as she went towards her son and help him up while Jin Zixuan went towards his brother to give him a hand.

What they didn't notice, was the way Jin Ling's body froze at that time the name was call out.

"Are you okay, A-Yao?" Jin Zixuan asked his half brother, who had become his adviser. Jiang Cheng walk up towards them.

Jin Ling looked at his father in disbelief and fear as he continued to talk to him.

"I'm okay" Jin Guanyao responded to his question and smiled a bit to Jin Zixuan.

"A-Ling, What happen? You should apologize to you Xiao Shushu" Jin Zixuan asked the first two in worry and the last in a strictly tone.

In contrast, Jin Ling looked at Jin Guanyao like he seen a ghost which if he was correct, he did.

He is seeing so many ghosts at the moment. With the main ones being his parents ghosts and most importantly the ghost of that caused the many tragedies in his life.

"A-Ling?" His mother asks him and he had not been playing attention. He looks at her with his eyes widened. He notices her worry in her eyes.

"Jin Ling, are you okay?" Jin Ling turns his head so fast as he heard that question from Jin Guanyao.

Jin Ling almost couldn't believe it, he looked so concerned and worried. When he had once almost killed him and had killed most of his family, like if he cared.

"I-I I'm...fine" he finally let out. "I'm sorry" he said to him, even though he didn't looked at him at all. Mostly his eyes at the floor.

"It's okay A-Ling" Jin Guanyao replied with a smile. Jin Zixuan moved towards his brother and asked.

"Will you be joining us, to have breakfast A-Yao?"

"I was thinking of doing it so, as I had been pretty busy this past few weeks" Jin Guanyao said while his brother nodded understanding.

Jim Ling couldn't even look at that scene, which was infront of him. He remained silent though, Jiang Cheng was watching him carefully and he didn't even notice.

"I'm going back to my room" Jin Ling said to his mother which was still close to him and checking on him.

"Ah, okay" She said as she thought maybe he felt a bit sick or bad. 'Maybe the food had made him sick but he barely touched any' was what Jiang Yanli thought.

Jiang Cheng expression suddenly changed and spoke as he was close to them so he heard about Jin Ling leaving.

"I'll go with you"

"Jiu-jiu is okay, I can go by mys---" Jin Ling was cut off as Jiang Cheng said "I insist, you seem a bit sick"

Jiang Yanli looked at her younger brother and nodded gratefully "That could make me feel a lot better actually"

Jin Ling looked at his mother and slowly nodded at her request and then nodded to his Jiu-jiu. Who he now notices a strange look on his face, 'Was that distrust and suspicious?' Jin Ling question himself as he try to read his Jiu-jiu expression.

'Did Jiu-jiu found out?' was his next question as they both started to walk.

Soon they were walking to his room. Which he realized was the room where he had woke up in. His Jiu-jiu was silent most of the time as they went through many halls to finally his room.

Some disciples saw them in some halls and bowed to both the Sect leader of the Jiang Sect and their young master who was their heir.

Jin Ling noticed that all where really nice to him, he didn't understood why. Even Jin Chan, a disciple who used to bully him about his parents before he became sect leader was acting rather nice to him as he spoke some words to him in the halls.

When they finally got there, Jin Ling was about to speak and say thank you and that his Jiu-jiu should return to breakfast when Jiang Cheng looked at his nephew carefully then spoke.

"Why did you ask about Wei Wuxian and who was that Lan Yuan, that you asked about?"

Jin Ling was in trouble now...
