"Cadence wake up! It's time for me to go! As he said while downstairs.

I ran downstairs and gave him a hug. He told me he was proud of entering the rodeo. He gave me a key to the shed and told me to go look. He then rushed out the door and I out my clothes on. I had to wear fancy clothes cause there was a party for the contestants. I walked outside to the shed and pulled off the lock. I oped the doors only to freeze by what I saw. It was a fancy black riding saddle that had blue ribbon lacing down the back. I saw it had blue reins and black mouth piece. I looked over and saw a female riding suit about my size. I bet it was my mom's, she always loved to ride with style. I walked over and placed my hand on it rubbing down. It was super smooth. I looked to the other side and saw helmet and horse shin pads. There were all kinds of horse equipments. I rushed to the barn and lead Ravi and baby to the shed. I saddled him up making him look like a show horse then agility. I put some socks and horse blanket on baby. It was a mix of ruby red and maroon color I changed my clothes and but on the gear. I then closed the barn and tied him to a fence. I filled up water buckets and food before I headed out. I hopped on Ravi pushed his side and ran out the gates. The party was only a mile from here. We ran down the road and my mind was wondering. I was thinking about the rodeo and what my future is. My mind came back and I pulled the reins. Ravi and Baby reared up and I almost fell off. A tree fell into the road. I pushed his side and went around. We trotted the rest of the way and entered these tall golden gates. 2 other riders followed behind me and I looked back and saw Aleck. He smiled at me and trotted up.

"What are you doing here?" As I asked him.

"I'm here to enter by why do you have Baby?"

"Shes entering too and all horses need to be here. I'm also representing her".

We trotted to the pens. They were square white fences about 15 x 15 outside. Peoplw were free to walk around and look. Some horses who don't handle people well get masks. That's how you get sponsors. I took of Ravi saddle off and but it on the fence. I put Babty in the same pen and Alecks horse was beside them. I walked over to the drinks and got a root beer. Aleck was chatting with some older men. He always got sponsors with a flick of his wrist. About 2 gentleman and 3 ladies walked over to me.

"Are those your horses?" As he pointed to Ravi and Baby.

"Yes they are sir, my friend owns the mare. She is gonna be on my team for jumping. The stallion will be in barrel racing and the horse derby".

"He looks like a fine horse as well as the mare. I would like to sponsor you. Here's my card." As she handed me a card.

"Me too here is mine" a tall white man with at Golden suit gave me one.

He was the owner of this property. He was judge in the rodeo. I walked over to Ravi and Baby. They were eating the grains I brought earlier. I petted there heads as they ate. Aleck was brushing off Volt and talking to 3 men. He always was good at this. I was tike for a talent off. I saddled up Ravi. I would come back for Baby. We trotted over to a line up with 6 other horses. We were gonna race. I saw some people placed bets.

"Get ready!"

"Set"

"GO!"

I touched his side as he bolted down the track. We were 3 out of 7. I bent down and touched his side again. He ran up to the first place. We were neck and neck. His horse was bigger and stronger. I saw we only had 20 yards left. I pushed his side enough for Ravis nose to stick out. Over the finish line we went. They were seeing who won. Ravi was all warmed up and ready for another race. They walked to me and handed me a stack of cash. I won and got 2,000 dollars.

"Good job, but I'd watch out for who you beat though. I can't wait to see you in the rodeo". Then he walked off.

All the riders got off their horses and put then in the pens. A couple of men pushed open 2 giant doors to a barn. This barn was all redone and was like a house. The riders walked in and looked around to see photos of horses. They were jumping, racing, showing their beauty. The man said this year the winner of any category will be in this hall. I walked around looking at the photos. I never went to a hall of Champions but this is one I won't forget. Ravi and my name will go up in lights and up on this wall.
