Storm Hawks: The Yuuzhan Vong War

XXIII

On the bridge of Tsavong's Worldship, the Storm Hawks readied their weapons as they formed up behind Aerrow. Tsavong tightly gripped his Amphistaff and got into a combat stance. A battle soon broke out between the Storm Hawks and the Warmaster of the Yuuzhan Vong. Aerrow led the Storm Hawks in a coordinated attack on Tsavong. Despite being outnumbered, Tsavong Lah held his own against the Storm Hawks. As Tsavong pressed the attack on Aerrow and Piper, Finn fired his Energy Crossbow at Tsavong, landing several shots on his arm. Tsavong says nothing as he glares at Finn.

Finn: Come and get me, you ugly bastard!

Tsavong lands a devastating strike on Aerrow and Piper, knocking them to the ground. He then charges at Finn while Finn continues to fire his Energy Crossbow at the Yuuzhan Vong Warmaster. When Tsavong got close enough, he is tackled to the ground by Junko.

Junko: I got him!

Aerrow and Piper rushed at Tsavong Lah and attacked him, but the Warmaster breaks free and presses the attack on Aerrow and Piper. As Finn fires his Energy Crossbow at him, Tsavong Lah focuses his attack on Finn. Finn attempts to defend himself, but Tsavong grabs Finn by the throat. Finn attempts to free himself by shooting Tsavong in the eye, but this does nothing more than anger him as he tears the Energy Crossbow from his hands and crushes it. 

Finn: Oh crap!

Tsavong: Die! 

As Tsavong begins to strangle him, Junko attacks him. Tsavong throws Finn against the wall, knowing him out. Junko and Tsavong then get into brutal brawl. Junko gave it everything he had, but the strength and ferocity of the Yuuzhan Vong Warmaster proved too much for the gentle Wallop as he broke through Junko's defenses and beats him nearly to death. Before he could kill Junko, Tsavong was attacked by Radarr who climbed up the Vong's back and began scratching his face. This gives Aerrow and Piper the opportunity to press the attack on the Warmaster. 

Aerrow: Give it up, Tsavong! You can't win!

Tsavong: Your trespasses against us have gone on long enough, Storm Hawks! The impurities of your world shall be purged in flames!

Piper: Not if we have anything to say about it!

As Aerrow and Piper prepared for the final fight against Tsavong Lah, the battle between the Atmosian Coalition and the Yuuzhan Vong reached it's climax as the intervention of the Guardians had turned the tide in their favor. As the Atmosian Coalition prepared for the final charge, the Malevolence continued to sustain heavy damage. On the bridge, Master Cyclonis knew that it was only a matter of time before it fell. 

Talon Ensign: Master Cyclonis! We've lost all shields! Life support systems are failing! 

It was at this moment that Master Cyclonis was given no other choice. She glanced to see the Condor flying around the Worldship. She then contacts Stork on the intercom. 

Master Cyclonis: Condor, this is Master Cyclonis. Have you taken care of the Warmaster?

Stork(Intercom): We're...we're fighting him right now! I'm trying not to get shot down!

Master Cyclonis: You best hurry. The Malevolence is on it's last legs. I'm going to ram the Malevolence into the Worldship. At best, you will only have a few minutes to escape the blast radius. 

Stork(Intercom): There's always something else! 

As the call ended, Master Cyclonis gave the order to abandon ship, but not before she sets the Malevolence on a collision course with Tsavong Lah's Worldship. Meanwhile, Aerrow and Piper clashed against Tsavong Lah. The fight soon turned to a stalemate as Aerrow glanced to see the Malevolence on a collision course for the Worldship. 

Aerrow: That's not good!

Piper: Is Cyclonis going to crash the Malevolence on us?!

Tsavong: You cannot stand against the might of the Yuuzhan Vong! Your world will burn! All shall serve the Yuuzhan Vong!

As Tsavong Lah charged at Aerrow and Piper, Piper activated her Binding powers and transferred some of her power to Aerrow. As the two were attuned to one another, Tsavong remained defiant. 

Tsavong: The Gods have given me this world! The Gods shall give me your lives! You will know glorious pain! 

Consumed by battle rage, Tsavong Lah attacked Aerrow and Piper with a frenzied attack. Empowered by the Binding, Aerrow and Piper stood their ground against the Warmaster. As the fight dragged on, the Warmaster flew into a rage and delivered a powerful barrage of attacks that Piper barely managed to counter. 

Aerrow: Piper! Catch!

Aerrow threw one of his Energy Blades at Piper. Tsavong reacts by smacking Aerrow to the ground with his Amphistaff. But Piper stabs him in the belly with Aerrow's Energy Staff. Tsavong is shocked enough to drop his Amphistaff, but punches Piper hard enough to disarm her, then tries to strangle her with his bare hands. Aerrow gets back on his feet and jabs Tsavong's belly wound to break his grip, then Aerrow plunges his Energy Blade into Tsavong's abdomen. Tsavong fights back as Aerrow and Piper plunge the Energy Blades deeper into Tsavong's body.

Tsavong: DIE!

Aerrow and Piper then pull out the Energy Blades and back away. With on final clash, Aerrow and Piper charge at Tsavong with blinding speed and plunge the Energy Blades into Tsavong's chest. As the final blow was dealt, Tsavong Lah was no more. The War Master of the Yuuzuan Vong was dead. As Tsavong Lah was killed, the rest of the Storm Hawks recovered. 

Finn: Ow....

Junko: My head....

Aerrow: There's no time to rest! We need to get out of here before....

Before Aerrow could finish his sentence, the Condor crashed through the bridge. Not wasting any time, the Storm Hawks rushed inside as the Condor flew away from the Worldship just as the Malevolence crashed into the Worldship, creating a violent explosion which destroyed much of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet. Those that weren't caught in the explosion were sent plummeting to the Black Gorge. The even fewer survivors were quickly dispatched by the Atmosian Coalition. In that moment, the battle was over.
