"WHAT?!" Sunny, the SandWing founder of the school, yelped. "Oh, my gosh, my friends are going to be so mad! Well, maybe not Clay or Starflight or Glory, since they seem like they would be more worried or sweetly concerned than angry, like Tsunami will be, BUT STILL. I need to tell Queen Glacier about this!" "What are you talking about?" A haughtily familiar voice said from the doorway. All three of us whipped towards the doorway, ready to attack if needed. Winter stood half-in, half-out of the cave, his brow furrowed. "I'm right here." We all let out a sigh of relief. Moon ran out of the room to tell everyone he wasn't missing. Sunny ran over to him, clutched his talons, and said, "Where were you? These two told me you were missing!" Winter shoved her talons off and said, "I wasn't missing! What are you-" Sunny said quickly, "Be right back!" She hurried out of the room. It was just me and Winter in the room. Then, he finally noticed me. "YOU." He growled. "What are you doing here?" I furrowed my brow and straightened. "What do you mean, what am I doing here?" I said, offended. "I was worried you were missing. I wanted to make sure you got found." He scoffed. "I don't need help. I can take care of myself." Suddenly, a bright pink blur sped down the hallway, through the door, and right into me. "Oof!" I coughed. The bright pink blur materialized into a young, excited, bright pink RainWing. She yelped, "I am SO sorry! I just heard there was a SkyWing in here, and I've never seen one, so I wanted to be the first one here!" Apparently, she really wanted to see what different colors I was, so she said, "Alright, can you open up your wings, stand up, and straighten your tail for me, please?" Startled, I complied. She examined me from head to tail, being very careful around the barb. When she was done, she said, "You can go back to normal now." I gratefully lowered my wings and sat down. She sat down in front of me, closed her eyes tightly, and started to change color. I was shocked. In a moment, she looked exactly like a mini-me, and she even replicated my green eyes. She'd even curled her tail to look like a barb on the end. I was very shocked. "Whoa." I said quietly. I'd never seen a RainWing before, let alone a RainWing changing color. I felt dizzy. "Whoa." I said again, even quieter. "Are you okay, Tempest?" Winter asked nervously, eyeing my huge wings swaying side to side. "Yeah, I'm ... fine ..." I toppled over, sliding into unconsciousness.
