"WE'RE STARTING IN A MINUTE."

GOJO'S VOICE CAME echoing from all around the forest; presumably through the help of some sort of cursed technique. You watched as Maki and Megumi's face turned sour at his tone, scrunching in distaste as he continued his foolish charade.

"Let's hear a few words of encouragement from the lovely Iori Utahime-sensei!" His words were followed by a series of complaints from the other end before the Kyoto representative teacher spoke.

"Um... Some degree of injury is unavoidable... but, every now and then... Um... help each other out or something—"

"Time's up!" You heard Gojo yell before Utahime began swearing curses. A collective sigh escaped you, Nobara, Megumi, and Maki— all sharing the same sentiment of dulled annoyance at their childish bickering.

"Now... let the sister-school exchange event begin!" The reverb of the mic echoed Gojo's voice; spilling over the calm of the forest as you and the others of the Tokyo school took off in a sprint.

"Where do you think the cursed-spirit boss is?" Yuuji asked, running beside you and Megumi.

"P-Probably unleashed somewhere between the two schools, if I had to guess.." You huffed, keeping up your pace so that you wouldn't fall too far behind. Megumi turned to his side, glancing over at you with a worried gaze.

"Will you be alright?" Megumi asked, taking notice of your heavy panting.

You laughed dryly, nodding. "Looks like I'll need more stamina training, hah..."

"We can work on that when this is all over. But remember, at the time we agreed upon, we will split into the groups for scouting. After that, we'll be counting on Yuuji." Maki reminded you from in front, turning back to look at the pink-haired sorcerer with a nod.

Ahead, you heard Megumi's Divine Dog bark with vigor before you as you made it over the hill to see a cursed spirit in the form of a spider hanging from the tree branches. Maki sprinted towards it, swinging her weapon as she prepared to exorcise the spirit with brute force.

"Senpai, wait!" Megumi shouted from beside you, when suddenly— a powerful gust whipped past you; shavings of wood chips and broken branches flew across your vision. When the dust finally settled, Toudou came into view. His face grew with delight at the sight of the gathered students standing before him.

"Oh, that's great! You're all here! Now... Why don't you all come at me at once?!" Yuuji reacted immediately, leaping forward with his arms stretched out to grab Toudou by the head; in a swift movement, Yuuji slammed his knee into Toudou's face.

"Scatter!" Maki yelled as everyone broke apart to their assigned groups. You stayed by Megumi's side as the two of you weaved through the forest, Maki following not too far behind.
