Irrefutable Fate

CHAPTER 3

I was busy due to my hectic schedule. During daytime, nandoon ako sa review center tapos kapag night time naman nasa Isla Ilocandia resort ako nagtrtrabaho. Mahirap talaga ang schedule ko pero kinakaya ko mabuyi narin at malaki na iyong dalawang kapatid ko para may katulong ako magtrabaho sa bahay. Si Vivian at Kelly naman doctor na mga iyon kaya nakakahiya na abalahin pa sila kase alam ko na pagod na pagod na sila after duty. Delayed kasi ako ng 1 year after nang pangyayari doon sa resthouse nila. Ayaw ko na iyon alalahanin kase nakapag move on na ako and I assure to myself that I really did.

"Ate, umiiyak si baby Amaris. Gusto ka na daw niya umuwi." Sabi ni Wynona sa kabilang linya. Ako ay kanyang tinawagan kanina matapos kong i-deliver ang food sa room 201.
Agad ko namang iyon inangat dahil tumatawag lang sila sa akin kapagka may emergency.

"Ibigay mo ang phone sa kanya at ako ang kakausap" sabi ko sa kanya. Mahirap kase na iyak siya ng iyak kase baka hindi na naman siya maka hinga may heart failure kasi siya.

"mo...mom..my" rinig kong sabi sa kabilang linya. My heart soften upon hearing his voice. Gosh, I want to go home already and carry my daughter.

"Baby, don't cry mommy will come home after 30 minutes. Okay? Play with kuya Aldrix and ate Wynona first." I said with so much care in my voice.

"Mommy I want you home" She said it as if she is just about to cry again.

"Okay okay baby Amaris. Wait for me in 1 hour. Is that okay with you?" I asked.

"Yehey! Don't forget to bring pasalubong mommy. Bye bye po" After she said it. She ended na call already.

I immediately finisged whatever I needed to finish before I go home. While I am on my way to our home hindi maiiwasan yung mga chismosa na pinagtitinginan at pinag-uusapan ka. Kesyo 'ayan maaga nagpa-buntis sa kun sino kaya di doctor hanggang ngayon' 'Kawawa naman batang iyan inanakan lang' at marami pang iba. To hell with them.

Malapit na ako sa aming bahay nang maramdaman kong nag vibrate ang aking cellphone kaya it ay kinuha. When I saw the name it's Vivian.

"Hello Viv. Napatawag ka? Kumusta duty" pauna kong sabi.

"I just want to tell that I will come later sa house niyo. Kelly wouldn't join me. She's busy with Kevin. And about my duty? Oh gosh! There is a lots of toxic patient with their relatives. Sheeezz!"
Sabi ni Vivian and I can sense she's rolling her eyes again. I laugh at that imagination.

"Yes you may come ofcoarse. Amaris will surely be very happy to see you again. Kakarating ko pang din sa bahay tapos napatawag ka." I am at the gate of our house already. Dati wala kaming gate pero pinalagyan ko na din for the safety of my baby kapag naglalaro sa kunting playground niya dito sa labas ng bahay.

"Yeah okay. Bye. Gonna prepare na" Vivian ended the call at ako naman binuksan ko ang gate. Narinig ni Wynona iyon kaya may agad akong narinig na sumigaw sa loob na 'mommy' probably running to go out to see me. After a second my baby came out and run towards me.

I kneel down to have a face to face with her.

"How's my baby Amaris?" I gently wipe her tears on her cheeks. I can see that her eyes got swollen and her face turns reddish. Probably she got that reddish face when she cry on me and her father sa kanyang magagandang mga mata which I fell in love before.

"Mommy I miss you already this day." She immediately hugged me tightly. "Why do you need to work mommy? Is daddy don't have work mommy?" After she uttered it, I felt the world stop revolving for a second. I always tell Amaris that her dad went to work kaya niya tinatanong iyan.

"Amaris, you're dad have work but it isn't enough so mommy have to work for you" I heard Vivian's voice. Siguro nakita niyang natulala ako upon hearing what Amaris said a while ago.
