history :
syrian aircraft carrier umayyad. originally she was a japanese soryuu class carrier. named seiryu. but she never saw combat as she was stationed in pyongyang incase of chinese attack. when the soviets reached korea in 1945...she was eventually captured by the soviets. and put into storage warehouse dock in vladivostok for almost 20 years till the ship got some interest by syrian army officials in 1963. the syrians agreed to buy the former ijn ship.
she then was transfered out of vladivostok to tartus syria in 1964. that when she will retrieve massive reforms and upgrades in 3 years she has become a modernized ship.. in 1966 she is now renamed the 'umayyad'
weapons and aircraft :
14x AK-230 anti-aircraft gun. it replaced the old 25mm anti aircraft gun earlier.
4x p-15 termit missiles. two each located in the front below deck.
