Lucas holds up his bottle.

"Mom when is the next stop? Were almost out of water." Lucas asked
"I am sorry Lu, I think we're gonna have to do it with this until another 3 hours." Bella (his mom if you haven't read the previous page) said with disappointment.

Bella saw Lucas was getting really tired of this, and she couldn't stand it.

"How about we ask some people at the next village if we can stay there for some time?" Bella said with a sweet smile.
"You know how people are mom, don't you remember last time?" Lucas said while stomping a rock out of his way.

"I know I know, but it's worth a shot right? What's the worse that can happen?" Bella said still trying to cheer him up.
"That's.. true." Lucas said.
"And maybe Colombian people are nicer! Were about to head towards Colombia." Bella said with excitement.

Lucas chuckled

"Maybe."

"I heard they have something called empanadas, maybe we can try some there?" Bella said.
"Sure, sounds delicious." Lucas said with a smile.

They just kept on walking till they saw trees.

"Look, its a chestnut tree!" Lucas said.
"You're right, they look ripe too." Bella said while touching the chestnuts.
"Oh, could you make that chestnut soup again? I loved that soup." Lucas said with excitement.
"Sure lu, grab as many as u want and I'll make some when we arrive." Bella said with a sweet smile.

"Thanks mom." Lucas said.

after 3 hours

"you want some bread? I spared some for when we're almost there." Bella asked Lucas.
"Sure." Lucas said while ripping the bread in two.
"No no no, it's for you." Bella said blocking the bread with her hand.
"I know you're hungry mom, we're almost there so I won't die mom." Lucas said with a grin.

Bella just smiled and took the bread and ate some.

Lucas pointed at some rock paths.

"I think we're here." Lucas said.

Lucas and Bella arrived and stared at all the beautiful houses, they never seen anything like this before.
It was so beautiful, it was magical.
Bella decided to knock at a door with a beautiful door.

"yes? Can I help you?" A woman said with a small smile.

"Oh, were just some travellers, bet u get them a lot." Bella said with a chuckle.
"I was asking if maybe we could stay for some days? It doesn't even have to be a room, we're used to lower circumstances. Maybe also some water? Food?" Bella asked with a begging smile.

Lucas never liked this, begging people for things, but it was for the best.

"Good joke, go tell Mirabel that one, she'll love it." She said with a laugh.

but Bella and Lucas just stayed, with a plain face.
And the woman's face quickly faded.

"Wait you're serious?" She asked with a shocked face.

Bella and Lucas nodded being confused as ever.

"It's been years since anyone has visited." She said, "I gotta tell Alma this!" She said while running away.

"Wait no!" Bella tried.
"I wasn't trying to cause any troubles!" Bella said with an anxious face.
"Calm down mom, I bet they're just letting the head know someone arrived, nothing to worry about." He said while smiling and putting his hand on her shoulder.

"Let's just sit down for a minute, it was a long trip." Lucas said with a soft smile.

As they were sitting down they got surprised by the woman with another older woman.

"This is them!" The woman said.
"I'll take it from here, thank you." The older woman said with a soft smile.
And the woman walked back into her house.

"I didn't mean to cause any troubles, we can just leave if u want?" Bella said with a worrying face to the older woman.
"No no no, I didn't mean to give u that expression, you're welcome to stay as long as u want!" The woman said.

And soon Bellas worry's faded and she blew some relief.

"My names Alma." She said with a smile.

"I am Bella, and this my son Lucas!" Bella said while shaking hands with Alma.
"Nice to meet you two, Lucas, what a beautiful name." She said.
"Thank you." He answered to the compliment being a bit confused.
"How old are you if I may ask?"Alma asked.
"Fifteen." Lucas answered.

"I am sure u will make some friends." Alma said.

Lucas had no idea what she meant, but he just got along with it.

"We do have 1 rule if u stay here." Alma said.
"Sure! Anything!" Bella said.
"DONT freak out."Alma said.

What was that supposed to mean? Lucas and Bella thought.

"You may aswell follow me."Alma said with a smile.
