Ashara and Teriko stood off to the side of the ship, watching as the younglings tried to make their lightsabers. Teriko had quickly made his and now he had two hanging on his belt. He had yet to try fighting with them, but Ashara promised him that as soon as they got back to the temple, they would spend the day sparring and getting him used to using two lightsabers.

Ashara stumbled when a blast hit the ship, she sent a glance Ahsoka, before running out of the room and heading to the cockpit where R2 was waiting.

"R2, what happened?" Ashara asked, stumbling again as the ship rumbled. R2 beeped and whirled out that another ship was attacking.

"Where?" the togruta asked urgently. A ship rose in front of the cockpit, seemingly massive to the togruta in the cockpit. She groaned as she recognized the ship. Oh yes, she had had dealing with the pirate Hondo Ohnaka, and they did not get along. Of course, Anakin was always right there beside her, so maybe that had something to do with it. Anakin tended to make enemies of everyone that wasn't family or a Jedi. Or Padme. Ashara never understood it.

The pirate ship continued firing at their ship, and Ashara scoffed.

"They're aiming for the hyperdrive!" she shouted. "Get us out of here."

R2 started trying to do just that, but as they were turning, their attackers managed to get a hit on their ship, and the ship stopped moving, and started to power down.

"I really don't like the sound of that", she grumbled. "Stay here. I'll check on the younglings. I hope Ahsoka and Teriko are keeping them calm."

Ashara hurried back to the room that the younglings were in, and groaned when she heard the sound of something docking at the port. They were about to be boarded, and she needed to hurry. Ashara found them in the hallways, Ahsoka leading the pack with Teriko in the back.

She got their attention, and they stopped. She had just now come up with a plan, and she needed them to follow it to a T.

"Who's attacking the ship?" Ganodi asked. Ashara's face remained serious, even with the younglings scared faces.

"Pirates", she answered.

"Pirates?" Ganodi exclaimed. "They'll kill us all."

"Perhaps we should hide the ventilation shaft", the droid Huyang stated. Ashara nodded and grabbed one of the vents off of the floor. She sent Ahsoka in first, then the younglings, then Huyang, then Teriko. She didn't climb in herself, and instead spoke quickly to Teriko.

"Keep your comm-link on. I have a plan but I need some time to distract the pirates first. Tell Ahsoka to get the younglings to the hold with Huyang. Teriko, I want you to take Zatt and Ganodi to the cockpit and secure it. They'll be of help to you there."

Teriko nodded, and Ashara put the vent down just as the door down the hall exploded open. She stood her ground, glaring at the two pirates that appeared.

"What does Hondo want?" she spat at them. The pirates just laughed.

"What does it matter to you?" one of them asked. "You'll be dead so it won't matter."

Ashara gritted her teeth. "You really don't want to mess with me."

They both charged her, raising their swords. Ashara dodged both of them, and used the force to send them crashing into each other and then into the walls. They were pretty well knocked out after that.

She hurried to the control room, and starting rerouting the power to the engines, trying to get the ship back up and running. Once she got everything rerouted, she contacted Teriko.

"Teriko, come in", she said into her comm.

"What is it, Master?" he asked.

"Have you sealed yourself inside the cockpit?" she asked.

"Yes", Teriko answered.

"Good", Ashara said. "I'm overriding the emergency power fail-safe, and routing energy to the  engines."

"It's working", Teriko said.

"Any word from the others?" she asked.

"Ahsoka said that she got separated from Petro and Katooni, but that she and the others are safe in the hold."

Ashara groaned. "Great. Okay, stay where you are and tell Ahsoka to stay where they are. I'll get Katooni and Petro to safety."

She ran out of the room, and began searching the hallways for the two younglings that seemed to have trouble listening.

She made her way toward the hold, hoping that they were still in that area. She saw Katooni and Petro in front of Hondo, and she groaned. She used the force to send a group of pirates flying down the hallway and they all hit a closed door, losing consciousness quickly.

"Hondo", she spat as she stood between him and the two younglings. "That Jedi council will not take kindly to this attack."

"Ashara", he grinned. "How will they know who is responsible if there is no one left to tell the tale?"

Ashara glared at him. "What do you want from us anyway?"

Hondo chuckled. "What else? I am looking for a profit. And those crystals I know those younglings have are quite profitable."

The togruta's glare deepened. "You want the crystals? Come get them." She drew her lightsabers, and got into a fighting stance. The only pirate besides Hondo that wasn't unconscious leapt toward her. Ashara dodged and kicked the pirate away, knocking her unconscious.

Hondo attacked with an electric staff, which Ashara was quick to block with her lightsabers. She moved Hondo away from the door of the hold, allowing the two younglings to get inside. She fought Hondo, pushing him further away from where she knew the younglings were. Teriko's voice came over her comm.

"Master, they've made it to the hold", her padawan stated.

"Then what are you waiting for?" she yelled at him.

"But what about you?" Teriko asked, worry flowing through his voice.

"Don't worry about me!" she snapped, leaping away from Hondo as he tried to attack her. "Just do it!"

She could feel her padawan's hesitation, but she could feel the difference as the ship started to move. A vacuum was created, and she watched as all the pirates started getting sucked down the hallway. She grabbed onto a wall, and held on as tight as she could, watching as the pirates flew past. Hondo also managed to grab onto part of the wall, and he glared up at her.

"What are you doing?" he snapped.

"Getting you off my ship", Ashara replied, and pushed off her wall, sending herself toward Hondo. She kicked him away, and they both were being pulled toward open space. She didn't care where she ended up, as long as she got the pirates off of her ship, and away from the younglings. Hondo grabbed onto the wall again, and she pulled him off once more. She could see the docking tube, and she started getting worried, but she managed to grab hold of the wall in front of the docking tube. Hondo managed to grab onto part of the docking port, holding himself inside the Republic ship, but as another pirate started flying down the hallway, Ashara used the force to send him careening into Hondo, forcing him back into the docking tube. One of the bigger pirates caught him.

She moved to the end of the docking port, and used the force to send them all back toward Hondo's ship. She then started jamming the button to close the doors, but the doors didn't seem to close fast enough.

"We're all clear", she shouted into the comms. "Make the jump to hyperspace!"

Just as she finished her sentence, another pirate came flying toward her, and knocked into her, sending them both through the still closing door. It was after that that Ashara found herself on the pirate ship, prisoner of the very pirates she had just forced off her ship. And she knew one of them was very unhappy with her...
