A sand storm kicked up while they were waiting for Anakin and Rex to meet up with them. But they had found an entrance and were guarding it from any Separatists in the hope that they would be able to be in and out without the enemy knowing they were even there.
Thankfully they didn't have to wait long for Anakin and Rex to find them. When they did, Hunter immediately reported the Jedi Knight.
"We're in business, General", he said. "Tech regained Echo's signal. It's coming from this tower. How's it going Tech?"
Tech didn't say anything, and instead focused on his task of opening the door. It opened within seconds.
"Sorry it took so long", Tech finally said. Ashara smiled, and Hunter sent Crosshair to check out the lift.
"Yeah", the sniper said sarcastically. "It's a lift."
"Well we already knew that", Tech replied, no doubt rolling his eyes. The group walked in, all except for Wrecker.
"Wait, wait, wait- a lift?" he asked nervously. "How far up are we going?"
"Don't worry, Wrecker", Hunter teased. "I'll hold your hand."
"Hey, cut it out, Sarge", Wrecker said as he thwacked Hunter's back with his blaster. "Just give me some droids to crush."
The door closed and they began their ascent into the tower, where hopefully they would find Echo.
"Remember, this is a stealth mission", Anakin said. "No blasting, no blowing things up. Nobody knows we're here."
The doors opened at that moment and they were greeted by several droids, which Wrecker instantly ran at, yelling. The rest of the Bad Batch followed.
"So much for stealth", Rex said drily. Ashara snorted, and followed him out into the room, where the Batch had finished taking out the droids. Wrecker cheered when the last droid fell, before he realized that Anakin, Rex, and Ashara were staring at him in disbelief.
"Uh... sorry. I just got excited."
He walked toward the group, where Tech was busy making sure that he still could see Echo's signal.
"I've still got a lock on Echo's signal", he said quietly.
"Alright men", Hunter said. "Let's hunt some droids."
Ashara smiled, and followed after him, though she could feel Anakin was getting a little concerned that they wouldn't make it out alive.
They cut through a hallway, where they took down four more droids.
"Where exactly is Echo's signal coming from?" Anakin asked. Tech immediately got to looking.
"Strange. I just lost the signal", he said, looking at his datapad.
"What? How can that be?" Rex asked as he took off his helmet. "There's no atmospheric disturbances up here."
"Well, I have a new theory", Tech answered. "I'm surprised I did not consider it earlier. The signal is only traceable during data transmissions. So until Echo dispenses more intel, I cannot pick up the signal."
Ashara sighed softly, knowing they were going to have to do this the hard way now.
"Okay. We're splitting up", Anakin said. "Search every door. If someone finds Echo, contact the others. We go in together, just in case there's trouble."
The group split up, with Anakin and Crosshair going one way, and the rest going the other way. Ashara was with Tech when he looked at his datapad, noticing the signal was back. They quickly found the door, and tried to figure out how to open the door. Rex ordered Tech to get the door open, but before he could, one of the screens next to it shifted to reveal Wat Tambor.
