Delmar's Deli was actually great, i sat taking a booth to myself and tried to scroll through my phone to distract myself from the eventful first day I'd just had.

I began to see all my hometown ex-friends posting all of them at yet ANOTHER party. They always went without me when i used to live nearby, I'd never been to one. Well, not until Gwen invited me today.

God we get it, want a medal for socialising?

I thought to myself as i started to stalk all over their accounts, just staring at the photos.

Another reason I was distracting myself was to stop myself watching the front door, awaiting a tall man to appear coming through it, Peter. I ate my sandwich quietly and grabbed for my earphones to listen to music, it would help me to stop jumping at every bell ring that sat above the door.

These sandwiches are good. God, Peter was right, best place in queens, and i haven't even tried all of them.

With everything i did to distract myself from him, i guess i couldn't silence my thoughts. Yet the music zoned everyone else out, i felt like it was just me, sitting eating a good tuna and sweetcorn sandwich.

Odd combo i know, but it's my favourite. I really hope Peter doesn't just decide to enter now, I'll just smell like fish an-

Mid-bite, i feel a presence luring above me.

In his old sweater he wore all day but with his hair looking messier this time, more of his curls flew out from being combed back, one sat perfectly in the middle of his forehead amongst the rest of the fluffy locks.

There he is.

I notice his face is a little dirtier but i ignored that as i was just happy to see him again.

I pull my earphones out and try to swallow the tuna quickly.

'Oh my god hi, didn't know you'd be here' Covering my mouth.

I tried to crack that joke sarcastically, you know, cause i knew very well that he'd be here. I hoped it would've changed the atmosphere from the last conversation we had.

He simply smiled and turned quickly to grab his two wrapped orders, for him and his aunt i assumed. Peter made his way back to my booth and slowly sat in across, 'i-is this okay?' eyeing the seat he was about to sit on. I nodded quickly.

'So...your first day huh?'

I set my phone in front of me and replied, ' Erm, it was okay, you?' My shoulders tensed and i sat on my hands to stop myself fidgeting in nerves, i stared at him awaiting a response.

The sun was going golden, it beamed through the windows directly onto Peter's face. It made blonde through his brunette hair highlight his hair, his eyes wide like a puppy. I could see more details in them, more hazel than i thought. His jaw clenching and shown with its definition through shadows.

'It was okay as well' looking down at his own sandwich as he began to unwrap it. It went silent, neither of us going to take a bite of whats in front of us.

'What were you listening to..uhm before i-i interrupted.' He was now staring at my phone that i had placed in front.

'Oh yeah!' just glad he broke the silence ' i was listening to a playlist my uncle made for me to "educate me into good music", it's pretty good.' He smirked in response, 'can i listen?' I looked down and began to unwind the wires i had wrapped around the phone, but the time i had looked up he had gotten up and moved beside me on the red, leather booth seat.

I beamed, he still wanted to talk to me, nothing was ruined.

I gestured the left earphone to him and he gently took it out of my hand, slightly grazing my fingers, which made my heart flutter.
