Jealous love

~Cisco's POV~

Barry and Iris just got engaged. Good for them, I guess. 

Truth is, there's something about me that Barry doesn't know. I love him.

Yes, you heard me right. I love Barry Allen. I've been in love with him since he came to STAR Labs. Ugh, the moment I laid eyes on that man, I was in love. 

~Barry's POV~

I just got engaged to iris! Everyone is screaming, and is super happy....except for my best friend, Cisco.

For the past few days, he's been acting really strange. Whenever he saw Iris and I together, he'd roll his eyes, then leave. I don't understand. "Did I do something wrong?" I keep thinking to myself. 

The next day:

~Cisco's POV~

"Hey, Cisco". Said Barry, "Can I talk to you for a second?".

"Uhm, okay, sure" I replied. I was very confused on what was going on.

"Hey, man, I was just wondering, why have you been acting so weird ever since Iris and I got engaged?"

I froze for a good minute. "I- what? wh- what do you mean, Barry?"

"Cisco." Barry said 

"What? Barry I don't understand" i said, obviously lying.

"Cisco, don't lie to me, alright? I'm your best friend, you know you can tell me anything". Said Barry in a sweet, caring voice.

"Yeah, yeah I know that, Barry. I just don't understand why you would think I've been acting 'strange'". I said

"Cisco, come on, man. Don't lie to me".

"I'm not, Barry, trust me. Okay? I promise you I'm not lying". I said, lying again

"Okay, if you say so". Barry said as he walked away. Believing none of my lies.

I can't go on like this, I thought. Barry knows something is up, and it's ruining our friendship. 

Later that day:

~Third person POV~

Cisco laid in bed. Couldn't sleep at the thought that he had just lied to the man he loved. His best friend. God, it was killing him to think that Barry will marry Iris. Cisco was so in love with Barry, he'd do anything just to see him.

The next morning:

         ~Third person POV~

Barry flew into STAR Labs, after stopping an armed robbery. The moment he came, he kissed Iris and hugged her, right in front of Cisco.

Cisco was so upset, so he just stormed out of the room. Barry, of course, was confused as to why, but didn't bother asking. 

Joe was actually quite concerned about Cisco, so he followed him.

"Cisco!" Joe called

"Yeah, Joe? What's up?" Cisco said 

"Cisco, I know you love Barry". Joe admitted 

"wh- what? how'd you, you know, find out?" Cisco said, in shock, of course.

"Come on, Cisco. I have watched you been in love with Barry ever since the two of you met. It's kind of cute, if I'm being honest." Joe said, letting out a small chuckle. "You can talk to me, Cisco,  why didn't you tell Barry?"

"Because, Joe, I can't. It would ruin our friendship, and I'd rather have him in my life, as a friend,  than not having him at all." Cisco said, trying to hold back tears.

Joe laughed. He knew Barry was secretly in love with Cisco, but pushed down those feelings, and decided to date Iris, instead. "Cisco, look, Barry likes you, a lot, he only thinks he loves Iris. He has you're contact as 'Cisco❤️'" Joe said, still laughing 

Cisco tried not to cry. Joe saw the tears, and began to hug him.

"Come on, son, go tell Barry. He'll realize, sooner or later, that the person he loves is you, Cisco. 

"Okay! Thank you, Joe".

Joe laughed again, "No problem, Cisco".

        A few hours later ~

"Hey, Barry" said Cisco, "There's something I've been meaning to tell you, for years, and I guess I've just been too scared to tell you the truth". 

"What is it Cisco? Tell me" Barry said, still confused.

"The truth is Barry, I- I love you. Ever since you came to STAR Labs, I've had the biggest crush on you. I know you're probably mad, but-" Cisco was cut off by a kissed from Barry 

"I love you too, Cisco". Barry said, continuing to kiss Cisco.

Cisco smiled.

Iris, watching from a distance, ran and started crying. 

    ~ At westallen's apartment ~

"Hey, iris, what's wrong?" Barry said.

"Oh you know what's wrong, Barry Allen. I saw you fucking kiss Cisco! Barry, I'm your fiancé for God's sakes! How could you do this to me!" Iris cried out.

"Iris, I- I'm sorry? Okay? I pushed down my feelings for him and thought they could all go away if I pretended to be in love with you. I'm sorry"

"Just shut the hell up, Barry." Iris yelled, as she threw her ring at Barry's face.

"Goodbye, Barry" Iris said, as she cried

"Bye, iris". Barry said, speeding out.

       A few years later 

Barry and Cisco are happily married, but things were never the same between Barry and Iris. They rarely spoke, and Iris continued to hate Barry.
