NYC, NY📍"Alex baby stop crying were almost there ok?" Diamond looked back at Alex from the rearview mirror.
He woke up crying out of nowhere with this terrible cough. Diamond tried feeding him but he would refuse it and continue crying. She didn't know what else to do so she had to bring him to the doctor's office in Queens.
She knew it was a bad idea to bring him yesterday to play in the first-ever snowfall the city received.
Diamond put her mom on speed dial because she would cuss her off if her grandson was in trouble and Diamond didn't tell her.
"Mom Alex is not feeling good so I'm taking him to the doctor" Diamond shouted over Alex's loud crying.
"Why what happened to my poor baby? Is he gonna be okay" Ma asked in a worried tone.
"I don't know ma and I'm trying not to panic right now. He's been crying all morning and hasn't been responding to my words. I don't know what to do"
"Ok, honey calm down. Once you get to the doctor's send me the address so I can meet you there.
"Ok I'll try my best ma see you soon"
QUEENS, NY📍
Nah, get your ass back over here because we ain't winning state on Friday with no rookie QB" Xavier's teammate MJ complained on the Facetime call.
Friday was the last day of classes before winter break and the state championship.
"Coach ain't know what he doing" Xavier shook his head. "How you gon suspended me for a whole season when the nigga shoved me first and can't even take a hit."
"Ain't they the ones that jumped you after the game? That's foul fr" MJ shook his head.
"They ganged up on me there's no way I could've won"
"So how long you gon be in New York for?" MJ asked.
"Who knows man my leg is messed up, but it's just a minor setback for a big comeback next season. Y'know the grinding never stops." Xavier cheesed.
"Yessir" MJ hollered.
"But to be honest I don't know how these next few months are going to play out.
"A lot can change man but wish you all the best with your knee."
"Yeah, I'm supposed to head to this doctor's appointment and into the city right about now. " Xavier sighed, leaned up off the headboard, and sat in an upright position on the edge of the bed.
"I hope you're treating my sister right and keep an eye on her she can be a little moddy at times. MJ glared at
The both of them were cool with each other from football long before Xavier had his eyes on his sister Monique.
MJ was a little bit hard on him once they first started dating because of the amount of men Monique bitched about him in the past, but over time he had to deal with it.
"I'd do nothing to hurt her man. I can tell she wifey material." Xavier smiled.
"You better not start popping babies on me" MJ joked but he was being serious.
MJ accepted the part that they were dating, but if he ever found out Monique having sex he'd go crazy. They never grew up with a father so most times MJ played the father role.
"Man, I'ma catch ya later" Xavier chuckled.
"Aye, man I ain't play-" MJ was cut off when Xavier hung up the phone.
