After I finish my lunch, I ask, "where should I put my plate?" Momo absentmindedly points to the end of the cafeteria. I go to where she was pointing. As I near the counter, a woman comes up. "Oh, my! They were telling the truth!" She exclaims. I cock my head to the side, confused, and set my plate with the others. I turn around to go back. "Wait, wait! Can I talk to you?" She calls me back. I nod and return. "That dodgeball must have hit you hard, if you forgot being gothic." She states. A couple more women joined her. "So, Lucas was telling the truth! This is a miracle, I can't figure out why you would dress gothic if your personality is like this," one comments. "What's the last thing you remember?" She asks me. "Waking up in the nurse's office," I say. "Did you know who you were, or is it total amnesia?"

"Total amnesia, I had no idea who I was, and I'm still confused."

"Oh, you poor dear! Good thing your friends were there to tell you,"

"Yeah, good thing, but I should get going, nice chatting with you!" I call back. I walk back to the table, uncomfortably, through the rows of my surprised peers, and sit back down. "Ready to go?" Spike asks me. "Mmhmm," I say. "Then lets go!" He and Momo stand up, and I follow them out of the cafeteria. "So," I ask, "where to next?" We reach my locker and they put my math book back in the book bag, take the bag out of the locker and hand it to me. "Unfortunately, we all have different english periods, so you're on your own with this one." I nod and they point me in the right direction. "You should find a map along the way." They head in the opposite direction. I head in the direction they pointed.

I slowly walk to the classroom, swinging my head back and forth at the differently decorated lockers. Apparently I take too long, because soon, a rush of student flow past me like a river, pushing me along. Students enter a room with a sign saying 'english' on the door, and I push through the crowd to enter. The bell rings, and someone pushes me into the room. The same person enters the room. "Kyle, Kat, you're late," says the teacher, a middle aged woman, not looking up from her lesson plan. Kyle's, 'the one who pushed me in's, eyes widen slightly and his towering frame looks own at me. "Wow," he whispers under his breath. "Well, take your seat," commands the teacher, and Kyle steers me toward one of the two empty seats. "This is your seat," he whispers in my ear. I feel shivers as I feel his breath against my skin. I set down my bag, and pull out my english book as he sits in the open seat behind me. The teacher Finally looks up. "Kyle, Kat, deten...tion..... What in the world!?" "Ms. Patrick, I can explain." Says Kyle. "Then please do, and tell me who is sitting in kat's seat." Kyle stands up, and I realize how tall he really is. "There was an accident during gym, leaving Kat with no memory."

"That doesn't explain the clothing,"

"Her personality isn't goth,"

"This is . . . Strange to see,"

"You're telling me." The teacher held her head and said, "free study, I need some fresh air." Before exiting the room. The class silently pumped their fists, 'yeah!' Kyle sits back down, and pokes me in the shoulder with his pencil. "Are you really Kat?" He asks. "I don't know. I suppose I am, but I don't know who else I might be." Is it possible that they tricked me? "Don't stress, I'm just surprised," he says, noticing my worried, lost in thought, look. "I try to think of you the same way, as my enemy, but I can't." He says. "Do you remember anything?" I try really hard. Is there anything I remember? Hmmm. . . Ah! My head starts to hurt. "An orange object flying toward me," I answer after the pain fades. His previous look of hopefulness fades, leaving resignation. "Ok, well, as a note, careful who you trust. With a face like yours, you never know who might take advantage of you."

"A face like mine?"

"Yeah, people might say, 'I'm your boyfriend, remember?' Or something like that."
