RECAP

our lips brush but before it becomes real, a voice interrupts. he drops his hand from the back of my neck, and turns to face the intruder. "What do you think you're doing with my girlfriend?" says a guy.

"Wh-wh-what?" I stutter confusion lacing every aspect of my voice. "Boyfriend!?" He walks up to me confidently. "Of course! What are you doing kissing some other guy... Katy." After a moment, it all connects. I smirk knowingly. "My own "boyfriend" doesn't know I have amnesia, how sad!" I put my hand over my heart dramatically. His eyes widen in shock of being found out, "nor, my name, but you're close. I'll give you three chances. " I watch his eyes flit from place to place, desperately searching for a name. "One," I say. "Kelly," he spits out.

"Two," I say, shaking my head

"Saidy,"

"Three," I sigh.

"... "

"Three,"

"Kait...lin?"

"Ding ding ding, correct, but too slow. And if you really were my boyfriend, you would know that I'm called Kat. I giggle and grab Kyle's hand, then walk away. He struggles to contain his laughter. When we're out of ear's reach, we let loose. "Are you kidding me?" I say, between laughing and breathing. We laugh for a full five minutes before we are calm again.

"I believe I was about to do something." He says. I'm leaning against the wall, and I realize what he was implying. We were about to k-k-ki-kiss. I rush to first period without a word.

I avoid him until gym comes around, which is the first class I have with him. I walk out of the changing room in the girl's gym uniform, a skort and tank top, fiddling with my ponytail. Do I look okay? Twisting the tips of my hair, I sit on the bleachers next to the other girls.

I spot Brittney (from chapter one, near the end) sitting not far away. "Hey," I greet her happily. She waves back and points to the guys coming out of their locker room. The uniform they wear consists of long pants and a t-shirt that shows off their abs. Kyle looks particularly strong; I can't help but skim my eyes over his six pack. He waves to me, but I ignore him, looking when he's not.

"Okay, everyone onto the floor, we're going to do laps." Everybody crowded onto the floor, chatting and shifting their feet impatiently.

Holding a clipboard, the gym teacher begins role call.

"Ashley,"

"Here,"

"Beatrice,"

"Here, and its bets,"

"Michelle,"

"Here,"

I listen for name, which happens to be second to last of the girls. "Kaitlin," he says. "Here," I answer. His eyes skim across me, looking for something. I don't know what. "Is she not here?" He asks. Momo, begrudgingly wearing the uniform, points to me. His eyes again go over me. I have to stand in front of the entire class for him to realize that who he is talking about is me. As expected, he's very surprised, and in a daze for the rest of the class.

After class is over, I shower, change back into my clothes, and go to the next class with spike and Momo. My last class, home room is outside for the day. Everyone is happy about that.

The class goes into the school garden. I stand awkwardly off to the side, because I don't know anyone in homeroom. "Hey!" I don't think that they're talking to me, so I ignore it. "Hey, Kaitlin!" I look around and see the guy from earlier. I take a good long look at him.

He's fairly tall, with light brown hair, and chocolate eyes. His shoulders are incredibly broad, and while he doesn't have a six pack, he's not weak. I can see us muscles arm muscles twitch. "Are you talking to me?" I ask. Furrowing my brows. "Yeah, we didn't get to properly meet in the hall." He said. "I'm jake." He stuck his hand out. "Nice to meet you," I greet. I hope he just goes away. "So... Amnesia... How bad? Do you recognize me?" Inwardly, I sigh. "Yes, amnesia. Completely wiped my memory. Should I recognize you?" He nods. "We were chemistry partners. However, the chem lab kinda got messed up, and now, until they fix it, chemistry is closed."

"Oh," I say. I sit at the base of the tree I've been leaning on, and jake sits by me.

"About the girlfriend thing... Well, it was a dare. To see if you would believe me. You were smart though." He flashes a charming smile. "What would you say, if I really was your boyfriend?" My heart skips a beat. Stupid teenage hormones, I don't like him! "Uh, um, I-I... Would, um..." He laughs at my nervousness. "Chill, I'm not. But would you like to date?" He smirked and pulled a funny face. "No," I reply simply, picking my bag up and leaving the garden as the bell rings. "Gee, you're no fun," he jokes, slinging an arm around my shoulders.

I head to the bus lot, where crowds of students push their way onto their bus. "Well, this is where I leave you." he says, removing his arm and walking away. He looks scared of someone, and I notice Kyle walking toward me. Could it be? No, impossible.

We sit side by side on the bus, as in the morning, but I don't fall asleep this time. I had attempted to sit beside Bruce, but a certain person wouldn't let go of my arm. The bus ride is silent, and there is not much to talk about. Around me, I spot a couple. They're holding hands, and the boy is smiling adoringly at the girl. It's obvious that they're in love. I wonder what it is like to fall in love.

"Hey, Kat?"

"Yes?"

I look at Kyle and he slowly leans toward me.

Author's note:

O.o what's gonna happen? I wonder... It's not like I'm the author or anything. Nope, not at all.:) sorry for the long wait my... Do I even have any readers? Seriously, it feels like people just open the page so it looks like you read it. You should comment so I know for sure. Otherwise I'll be sad:'(

Anyway, I've had major writer's block. Which is why this chapter is like a filler, but not. Sorry if it's boring:/
