Today after the service I dodged going back to the Zulu house for lunch.
Immediately when the pastor said 'amen' after closing prayer I ran to my car and drove off.
'Hey friend, when Ndivhuwo calls you please tell him I am with you. Pretty please'

I wonder where she is that makes her want me to cover for her.
I kicked off my shoes the minute I got in the house and threw myself on the couch.
My phone disturbed my moment of peace and it was an unsaved number. I thought it was Ndivhuwo.
Me: "Hello"
...: "Hi, Nashe. It's Musawenkosi"
Me: "oh owkay"
His voice was low and deep but he also sounded like he had been panting. What does he want from me though?
Nkosi: "Mom said to call you, she had a minor health scare. We're currently at the hospital"
Me: "I'm on my way"
I said leaping off the couch and wearing my flip flops. I grabbed my bag and ran out, no further questions asked because I knew exactly which hospital they'd take her to.
I raced to the hospital because now I had a lot of questions racing in my head. I needed her to be okay.
Arriving at the hospital I saw Noluntu with her husband first. He looked like he was comforting her.
From a distance there was Mr Mabaso (Mama Rose's husband) and Musawenkosi. I walked towards them.
"Sawubona Baba (greetings father)"
I greeted Mr Mabaso.
"My girl, how are you?"
"Good, how is Mama? What happened?"
"Come, let's sit down"
His face was downcast and I knew whatever it is was serious.
I turned to look at Musawenkosi, he immediately looked down when our eyes met.
"You said she told you to call me right? That means her condition is not that bad, right?"
"Nashe..."
He grabbed my hand and led me to the nearby chair. He crouched in front of me.
Is the situation that bad for him to be humbling himself like this?
"Mom will be fine, she'll be okay. She just had a minor heart attack but she'll recover."
"Can... can I see her?"
My voice was starting to be cracky. I didn't want anything bad to happen to her. I can't stand losing her. She's the mother I never had.
"The doctors are still busy with her."
"What... what caused the... heart attack? Because I know mama is healthy and... strong"
They both didn't answer.
I looked up at Mr Mabaso, he turned to Musawenkosi. I looked at Musawenkosi.
"It was caused by stress when she had an argument with Noluntu during..."
"The bitch!"
I cursed standing up to go kick a bitch.
"Nashe!"
Musawenkosi held me back.
He only made me angrier. He is not my friend so he shouldn't start now.
"Leave me alone! Let me go deal with her!"
I screamed
"Nashe! Stop!"
He held me fully in his arms and the floodgates opened. My body shook as I cried.
"She wants to take my mom away from me... I won't let her... I'll kill her."
I sobbed.
"Shhh, mom won't leave you."
He tried comforting me.
