I went over and hugged Musa
"Table is set, we can seat. Welcome"
Khethelo said and welcomed Musa
We all sat at the table. I sat in between Khethelo and Musa on one side. The twins and the parents on the opposite side. The cold one was sitting alone at the head of the table.
"So this is the young gentleman who stole my daughter's heart"
Mr Mabaso says breaking the ice
"Yes, this is Musa Zulu. Musa meet my 2nd family. Mr and Mrs Mabaso"
They gave him beautiful smiles
"Uyaphila ndodana? (Are you well son?)"
Mr Mabaso asks.
"Yebo mnumzane (yes sir)"

"Tina has chosen well uyabona sthandwa ? (You see love)"
Mama Rose says
"Yebo (yes)"
Mr Mabaso agrees
"Khethelo, my sister"
"Welcome Musa"
Khethelo says with a smile. Musa flashes a smile back. They shake hands.
The 3 boys are all silent.
"The twins, Mqobi and Mzwakhe. And Nkosi"
The three just grunted in unison. It's gonna be one heck of a night with them.
"Mqobi, say grace"
Mama Rose tells him.
"Let's pray"
Mqobi says
We all close our eyes. Well I think we all did because mine were closed and I couldn't see anything obviously.
"Baba wethu ezulwini (our father in heaven)
There's a lot to be thankful for.

Everybody said in unison

Mama Rose says
"We have to make sure our sister has made the perfect choice, right brothers?"
He smirks
"Correct"
Mzwakhe and Nkosi say in unison.
"Don't mind them Musa, these ones are crazy"
Khethelo says and Musa just smiles at her again.
"Mfana wami, abobani abazali bakho (my boy, who are your parents)
Mr Mabaso asks as we are dishing up.
"My dad was Mpiyakhe Zulu and my mom is Ntobeko Zulu"
Musa answers
"So where is home?"
Mr Mabaso continues to ask
"eNkandla"
"Where did you meet Tinashe?"
Mzwakhe enters the conversation
"We met at a restaurant"
Musa answers looking at me and smiling
"You can say the rest babe, I was on a blind date and got stood up"
I laughed
"How long ago was that?"
Mqobi asks
"About 3 weeks"
Musa seemed a bit irritated or bothered by their questions
My phone then vibrates, I check it and it's my big brother calling.
"Sorry but I have to take this, it's Boti"
I excuse myself
"Okay baby"
Mama Rose smiled at me
I go to the corridor
Me: "Boti"
Boti: "my princess, you good?"
Me: "I'm good boti, and you?"
Boti: "I'm good now that I've heard your voice"
I giggle
Boti: "what's keeping you busy?"
Me: "I'm at the Mabasa household, they invited me to dinner"
Boti: "alright, say hi to them for me. Tell Mqobi that the car parts he wanted are back"
Me: "okay, I'll tell him"
Boti: "I love you neh princess"
Me: "I love you more Boti. Kiss our wife and kids for me"
