The birds started chirping as Rumi rustled around in her bed. As she moved around, the sunshine that crawled through the blinds flashed over her eye lids as she scrunched her face. Sitting up in her bed, she stretched her arms up into the air as she began to crack her back and arms as she let out a refreshing sigh. Finally opening her eye's, she looked over to the side of the bed on the ground to see that Izuku wasn't there. A bit confused, she looked around the room as she still didn't see him.

"Izuku?" Rumi called out as she got no answer. Standing up from her bed, she walked over to the bathroom to see if he was in there, but she seen that the door was open with the lights off. Rumi then began to feel a bit worried as to where he had gone. That was til she heard the door to their room click open. Quickly peaking out of the bathroom, she seen Izuku walk in with a box in his hands. Closing the door, Izuku turned to see Rumi peaking out looking at him.

"Finally awake are we?" Izuku said as he walked in all the way setting the box on the table next to the bed.

"Yeah, could've left a note that you were gonna leave. Started to get worried of where you were at." Rumi said as she walked out of the bathroom as Izuku looked back at her with a slight smirk.

"Oh? You were worried about me, huh?" Izuku said as Rumi grew a slight blush but grew a smirk herself.

"Of course, don't need you falling off another building without me around to catch you like a knight in shining armor." Rumi said as Izuku just rolled his eyes and opened the box. Rumi looked over as she looked into the box, and her stomach immediately growled.

In the box was multiple pastries. From donuts to banana bread to baked cinnamon rolls. Rumi looked over the box of pastries with stars in her eyes.

"I went out while you were asleep to grab some breakfast. Apparently the apartments dinning area didn't hand out breakfast around the time I woke up. So I decided to go out and grab my own stuff." Izuku said as he reached into the box and grabbed a donut as he took a bite. Rumi, who reached into the box to grab a cinnamon roll, looked over to Izuku.

"You must have woken up pretty early then. I at least hope you got enough sleep last night." Rumi said as she looked over and noticed a slight change in his mood.

"Heh... It's a old habit I have from my old teacher..." Izuku said as the room went silent. Rumi could feel the change in mood as he mentioned his teacher, who she would presumably be All Might. It wasn't a secret to anyone that he had trained under the former number one and he had a close relationship with him as well.

Rumi looked over to Izuku as he grew a sad expression, one that annoyed Rumi to a large extent. Setting down the cinnamon roll she had in her hand, she walked over to Izuku as she clapped down her hands on his shoulders causing Izuku to jump a bit.

"Rumi?" Izuku questioned as he looked up at Rumi, but it was a short glance as Rumi bent down as she wrapped her arms around him from behind as she laid her head in the crook of his neck. Izuku immediately froze as he felt Rumis body weight on him. He could feel the warmth of her on his back and neck as she held him. Izuku was about to speak as Rumi cut him off.

"Izuku, do you remember what I promised you?" Rumi spoke as she still kept her arms around him. Izuku thought back to when she had promised to always be by his side. The moment that he believed that Rumi truly cared about him. Izuku didn't say anything as all he did was nod his head.

"I promised you that I would always be there for you, no matter what. Do you know what I mean by that?" Rumi asked as Izuku didn't respond. Rumi started to release her tight grip on Izuku as she walked to the side of him. She held out her hands as she cupped the sides of his face, making him look her way.

"It means that whatever you're going through, I'm here to help you see it through. Wether it's from a insane emotional panic attack that would take hours at a time to help you snap back, or something as simple as talking about what's on your mind. That fate was sealed the moment I caught you.

I know how it feels whenever you're feeling upset. I know what it's like when you haven't slept for day's cause of things you couldn't control." Rumi said as she smiled and looked him in the eye's. Izuku stared back as if he was in a trance of her crimson eye's.

"So let me help you. That's what a hero does, right?" Rumi said as Izuku's eye's widened slightly. He had already knew that Rumi was someone who cares about him, but to the extent of staying with him through everything? It was as if he was being told a fairytale.

But this was coming from Rumi. The one who was there to catch him from falling off a building. The one who forced him to rest whenever he was feeling tired. The one who stuck up for him whenever no one else would take a step forward. And now, the one who's willing to do everything they can to stay beside him as long as she can.

*Ba-dump!*

"Izuku?" Rumi called to him as he just sat there expressionless. Having coming back to the world of the conscious, Izuku looked at Rumi with a smile one could only assume to be for pure relief. Bringing up his hand to grab ahold of hers, he pulled her hands off his face as he held them. Still looking up at Rumi, Izuku had only one thought in him mind as she smiled his way.
