A year and had passed by and Juniper Pucey had not been expecting to be pregnant.

But there she was.

And Salazar, she was already in absolute awe of the touch of her barely even swollen belly.
How she had missed it for as long as two months she didn't know.
Perhaps it had been due to her making huge advances with her studies that she had completely overlooked the obvious changes in her body.

Now there she was, awaiting her husband's return from the ministry. "What has gotten you so worked up, darling?" She snaps around, a huge grin spreading on her cheeks. "I'm pregnant. Over two months in already." Atlas drops his things, quickly gathering her up in his arms. "That is wonderful! But why not tell me earlier?" "Because I didn't notice! Salazar, how embarrassing.. I will be a terrible mother, won't I?", she giggles, earning a laugh and a kiss. " You will be a great mother.. These are wonderful news. So.. next.. no.. This year.. we are going to meet our first child?" "We are, but careful with that first. If childbirth is as terrible as it is always described it might as well be our last, except, of course, if you want to carry the next one." Atlas laughs it off. "We'll talk about it again in due time."

Adrian. Adrian Pucey. The to be spoiled rotten heir of the house of Pucey and Winters. Atlas, still dressed in the suit he wore to work, smiles at his wife, laying in one of the white beds at the Saint Mungos hospital, holding the small and still red infant in her arms. "It is decided. The next one you push out or it's not happening at all.", Juniper whispers, clearly exhausted and he snorts, kissing her head before simply taking a seat next to her. "I love you too, darling. Sleep a bit." She nods, letting herself  finally relax. "When will they be able to go home?", Atlas quietly asks a nurse. "In a couple of days.", the woman smiles before leaving the room for the couple to get a bit of relaxation... before the true parenting would begin.
"Can you get me a some water?" Atlas had immediately gotten up to go and get his wife the water she wanted, walking straight into another man. "Pucey?" "Flint?" They greet each other quickly. "What are you doing here?" "Juniper gave birth two days ago. We'll go home today." "Really? My wife just went into labour.. It was good to see you. Congratulations. Now at least our children will have someone to play with." "Most definitely! Good luck." The tall man hurries off with a wave and Atlas finally gets the water, returning to Juniper who had gotten dressed in the meantime and was carefully wrapping up their son. "Natalie Flint is giving birth right now. I met Lachlan in the hallway. Juniper smiles. "That is wonderful. I am glad that Adrian will have someone to play with. I'm already curious if it is a boy or a girl.. or both.. or neither..or something else.." Atlas laughs at her. "We'll find out. Come on. I'll handle him. You still need to recover a bit.", he says, handing her the glass of water before finishing the wrapping up process, using the baby wrap, made of fabric, to comfortably and securely carry the priceless bundle against his chest. Together they leave, flooing, as to not upset the baby.
Back at the estate they take the infant up to his decked out baby room. Full of all the things one truly Could spoil an infant with, taking a deep breath. Juniper grins at her husband. "I can't wait.. to truly get to know him." Atlas smiles. "Neither can I."

A loud crash and screaming echoes through the estate. Juniper sighs softly, hurrying out of her lab to find Adrian and Marcus beside a now broken vase, sobbing. "Mom, I'm sorry! We broke your vase, I..." Juniper sighs, shaking her head. She didn't know what kind of disciplining Natalie Flint was doing to the young Flint heir.. as she had always been far more conservative than her, but it was not the way She and Atlas were going to raise their son. "Are you two okay?" They look up at her, both teary eyed and snotty nosed. "Yes." "Alright. Now.. I'll show you something.. okay?" Raising her wand Juniper levitates the shards into the air. "Come on, you two.", she says gently, both boys following her downstairs into the shed beside the house where they would do any crafts. "Okay. Come over here and you both watch, alright?", she says calmly, putting down two little stands for them to be able to look up onto the table, gently putting the pieces down onto it. "I want to teach you two something.. It is called Kintsugi. It is a traditional japanese method of fixing broken pottery, both bowls and vases. Now, look. I'm going to sand down the edges of the shards. You can help. Just be careful not to hurt yourselves.", she says, handing both of the young boys a small piece of sandpaper each. And they mimic her sanding down the sharp edges gently. "Okay. Put it back onto the table." They do. "Now.. we take this lacquer right here.. It usually takes quite a while to dry, but we are wizards, so there is no need to worry, alright? .. we take this lacquer and we use it to glue the pieces together.. like this. See?" She shows them how she pushes the shards back together, letting them put a bit of pressure on them themselves. "But now there is access lacquer.. And that.. we use to bond gold powder to the vase. See?" She takes a small container full of gold dust and lets the boys watch her as she applies it carefully to the still sticky lacquer. Once the cracks are shimmering with gold she pulls out her wand. "Now.. we dry it to harden the lacquer.." She picks up the vase moments later. "And we wash it." Using a cleaning spell all the access gold dust is washed off, leaving behind a vase with beautiful golden veins running through the porcelain. "You see? Things can sometimes break.. and that is okay. It does not mean that it is worthless, or not beautiful. And sometimes.. its possible to fix things.. and make them even more beautiful than they were before. Because we put our care into the things we have and we own, it makes them so much more special and precious. It is okay that you accidentally broke the vase. Now me and Dad and you two, can look at it and think of today, how much fun you had.. what a nice day it was. Okay?" The two boys nod, wiping their faces finally clean of tears and snot. "Good. Now let's put it back in the hallway. Do you two want to go get some nice flowers from the gardens to put in it?" They both nod. "Then let's go!", Juniper smiles and both of them hop down from their stands, following her back into the house and then into the gardens, their happy mood soon replaced by childish cheerfulness again as they play tag around one of the large Juniper trees as the young mother, with a smile, cuts off a few of the violet carsons she liked to grow in their backyard. "Mum? Can we play in the gardens?" "Sure. Have fun, you two. I'll have the house elfs call you for dinner once it's ready.", she hums, gently ruffling both boys heads of dark hair before making her way back. She had just placed the roses into the vase when she hears a loud crash from the living room. Not again. She runs downstairs only to gasp loudly. "Regulus?!" "I.. can't go back. I didn't know where else to go so I.." "It's okay! It's okay. We'll figure something out. Calm down first. You're safe here. I'd never send you away. You're safe.", she says, embracing him as he breaks down into tears, alerting every single one of her maternal instincts. "I'm here, my love. I'm here. And you don't have to be scared again. You're home."
