Jacob dated Emma before she even met Zayn. They dated for 2 years and then he ràped her and left her.
Zayn left the house and had came back wounded. It still hasn't been revealed why Jacob did what he did.
Anyways for all of you wondering why Emma was being distant towards Zayn in the last chapter is basically bc She was sad about everything that's been happening recently.
