Present
Sophia
"Are you ready? Found all your bags," I heard Frank speaking right behind me as he wrapped his left hand on my waist.
I turned and gave him a small smile, "As ready as I can be." By the way, if you're wondering why I have a huge rock on my ring finger, yes. I am engaged to this awesome guy beside me.
"Do you think they'll like me," I can't help but smile once I heard Frank's British accent. Despite staying in the US for over 5 years, he still has that adorable and cute accent.
I looked straight through his eyes and smile before I replied, "What's not to love?"
He gave me a wide smile and we made our way out of the airport. And that was when I saw the small entourage waiting for me.
My entire family was there together with all my girls, Cassie, Gabby, Sam and Lois. And of course my boys, Harry Ron.. and Drew.
I squeezed Frank's hand tighter as we made our way to them, hoping that my decision to go home was right... That I would not end up hurting, or worse, hurting Frank.

Middle School
Sophia
I still can't believe it. If you were on my shoes during the first six months of being in middle school, you would know exactly where I'm coming from. So miracles do, can happen.
Imagine wanting to kill someone with your bare hands and then you wake up one day feeling like you are goign to punch anyone who would even think about hurting that person. That is exactly how I feel towards Drew.
We started being friends in awkward way. I mean why wouldn't it be awkward. Our friends' jaws were on the ground when they saw us coming back from the track area laughing. Yup, taht was right after my meltdown at the cafeteria. And I can't blame them. We were like Tom and Jerry for six months.
I don't really know what happened. I just realized that Drew was treating me diffrently from the girls but I am kinda doing the same thing to him. I never lash out on Harry or Ron like the way I do to him.
"Hey," I greeted the guys once I came up to them on our favorite spot, the big shady tree near our homeroom teacher's parking spot.
Ron was the first to notice my arrival and being the git that he is, gave me a pinch on my left cheek. "Good morning Sophie," he said.
"What a nice way to greet people Ron. No wonder Chelsea doesn't like you," I teased him about the girl in our year who wouldn't go out on a date with him.
I heard Drew and Harry laughing their asses off while Sam, Cassie, Gabby and Lois gave me a hug.
"This is why I miss you on weekends girl," Sam gave me a high five.
Cassie, being the mom-like in our bunch looked at her wristwatch then said, "Time to go people. We have five minutes to get our things and go to our first period."
As if on cue we all replied to her, "Yes mom" which mad her snort as she each gave Ron, Harry and Drew a playful slap on their chests.
And right on cue as well, Damien appeared. "Hey guys! Good morning Cassie," he said giving us all a nod while he couldn't help but smile as wide as he can upon seeing Cassie.
See, how do I put it. Damien is not exactly bad looking. I mean if you don't know him and you bumped into him at say, a book store, you would even think he's kinda cute. He's tall with brown eyes and curly hair. Not bad at all. The problem is, he just doesn't know what to say and when to say things.
Cassie gave him a smile as plastic as the Barbie dolls then proceeded to going inside the school building.
Drew
As we went inside the school building, I can't help but smile and walk beside Sophia. She really does remind me of my sister. The way she scrunches her nose every time I try to annoy her, the way her eyes pop out every time she sees something that seems out of the ordinary, the look she gives me every time I try my moves on girls, she really is like my older sister. And let's not forget the way she gives her advice to the other girls. Cassie may seem like the mom in our group but hell, Sophia gives the best advice. She consoles you and has your back but if she knows that you're wrong, she'll point it out but would still have your back. She's just that amazing. And I can't believe were friends.
"So how was your weekend Sophie?" I asked her as we reached our lockers.
She shrugged her shoulders and gave me a smile smile before opening her locker, "The usual. I stayed at home and read a few books. Watched How I met your mother. It was nothing our of teh ordinary. You?" she replied.
I had a huge grin on my face as I started telling her about my weekend, "It was pretty good. My ssiter went home for the weekend and we surfed, had a little barbecue at our backyard. It was great seeing her."
She gave me a big smile and I knew that she understood how I felt and that whatever happened in the past were all forgotten. I've got myself a friend and I wouldn't have it any other way..
