Present
Drew
My jaws went down the floor when I heard what Sophie said. This guy she's with is not just her boyfriend but her fiance.
I looked at her with a questioning look and she gave us all a small smile then bit her lower lip.
"I'm really sorry guys. I was planning on telling you later but I just can't not tell you right now," Sophie exclaimed upon seeing our shocked faces.
Frank held her waist which earned a glare from Harry, Ron and me. He gave us all a smile then looked at Sophie with the sickening love sick smile, "Well its my fault. I just proposed to her two days ago."
That was when I heard Lois, Gabby, Cassie and Sam with their squeals of delight.
"Goodness Sophie! You are engaged!" Cassie squealed as she went to hug Sophie again.
Then Sam and Lois jumped beside her giggling while Lois pulled her hand, "Show us the rock!"
Sophie smiled at them then showed them her ring.
Gabby then pulled Sophie's hand towards her before saying, "Yeah man! Good job Frank! That is the bling!"
That was when the van pulled over beside us and the door on the driver's side opened revealing Damien.
"Time to go guys," he then went beside Cassie and gave her a kiss on her cheek.
Sophie looked at the couple and then wagged her eyebrows at Damien, "So Damien, you're here. Let's go!"
The girls entered the van with Sophie whispering something on Cassie's ear that earned her a pinch while us boys tried to fit in Frank and Sophie's things at the back.
When the last bag was in, I pulled Frank gently on his forearm while Ron and Harry were standing on either of my sides. "I just want you to know that we love Sophie. She's like a sister to us so be careful. Don't even think about hurting us or you have us to answer to," I then gestured towards me and the two guys beside me.
That was when Sam looked out of the window and yelled, "Hey guys, let's go. I'm soo hungry and you know Mrs. C makes the best barbecue."
Frank gave us a nod and then shook each of our hands before we made our way inside the van.

Junior Year
Drew
It has been two years since we met Chloe and I must say, she still ahs the same effect on me. She still takes my breath away. I saw her coming in wearing her skinny jeans and blue tank top and I must say that she just keeps getting more and more beautiful each day.
She became friends with us but not too close so she still wasn't part of our small circle of friends which is not surprising seeing as all of us became friends from middle school.
"Hey Chloe, looking good," I greeted her as she came within talking distance to me, Ron and Harry.
Chloe looked our way and smiled, "Thanks! You too guys, not bad," she grinned. She then looked towards her locker then said, "Well, see you later." She gave us a small wave then proceeded towards her locker.
Ron gave me a slight punch on my left arm seeing that my eyes were still following Chloe. "Man, you should totally ask her out. Its been what? Two years and you haven't made your move yet," Ron told me.
"Yeah dude. If you don't someone else is gonna go for it and before you know it she'll be dating someone else," Harry interjected.
"I know. But I promised my parents that I won't be in a serious relationship before I graduate from high school. And Chloe is not the girl that I wouldn't take seriously. She's someone special," I replied still looking at Chloe as she was fixing her things while talking to her friend Anne.
Sophia
I heard Drew's reply as the girls and I made our way towards our friends. And I can't help the tears that started forming in my eyes.
"I know. But I promised my parents that I won't be in a serious relationship before I graduate from high school. And Chloe is not the girl that I wouldn't take seriously. She's someone special," Drew said.
I had to excuse myself and run to the restroom. "Excuse me girls, restroom," I said to them as I ran on my way to the rest room.
Once I was inside one of the stalls, I locked the door and the tears started flowing. I must have been crying for a good five minutes when I heard a small knock on my stall's door.
"Sophie, I know you're in there. Open up," Cassie's gentle voice reached my ear and I can't help but release another sob.
I opened up the door and I saw Gabby and Cassie with concern in their eyes. My tears started flowing again and that's when I knew; My feelings is no longer a secret to my best friends. They aren't my best friends for nothing.
I tried to calm myself while Cassie grabbed some tissue for me. She handed them to me while Gabby caressed my back.
"How long have you known?" I asked them.
Gabby replied, "I don't know. Maybe even before you realized it." I gave her a look and I saw the sadness in her eyes.
Cassie looked at me then said, "We have known for a while now. Heck, I've seen the way you look at him for years and I just knew the day that you started seeing him in a new light. It was probably towards the end of middle school. Took you this long huh?" She gave me small smile.
I chuckled then looked at each of them in turn, "Do you think Lois and Sam know?" I asked them before I went in front of the mirror in the hopes of doing something to lessen the mess that was my face.
"Yeah, I think so. I mean, we're your friends so they probably have an idea about it," Gabby replied.
And then maybe realizing what my next question would be, Cassie said, "No. I don't think the boys know. You know how they are. They are not good with sensitive, touchy, feely things. "
I washed my face feeling a little better then looked at my best friends' faces, "Well, at least there's the good news. Please girls, I really don't want anyone of them to know."
They both gave me a hug before Cassie whispered, "Promise."
And we all went out of the rest room and made our way towards homeroom. And yes, I was hoping that with the amount of tears I've cried and the time we spent inside the restroom, I would look at Drew's face and not feel the same.
As we entered the room and saw the concerned faces on my friends, I gave them alla fake smile knowing that it would probably take a long time before my feelings change. I gave Drew one last look and gave him a small nod reassuring him that I'm okay. I'm okay even if I knew that my heart was torn to pieces knowing that his concern is just because were friends--nothing more, nothing less.
