Present
Sophie
I made my way towards the small entourage welcoming me home and I couldn't help the smile that reached my ears as I gave each of them a hug.
"I miss you darling," my mom said as she gave me a kiss on my cheek while my dad hugged me so tight preventing me from breathing properly.
When my dad released me from his breath constricting hug, I looked at my mom, "I miss you to mum, dad." I gave each of them a kiss before I turned to my fiance.
"Mom, dad, this is Frank," I introduced my guy and silently prayed that my mom wouldn't say anything embarrassing.
And then right after that silent prayer, my mom just had to make me feel that I should bury my head in the sand for five days. "Well hello Frank. I've heard so much about you. But surely, Sophia failed to mention that you are such a hottie," she then gave Frank a kiss on the cheek.
I noticed Frank's cheeks turning red while he gave my mom a hug then shook my dad's hand.
"Mom! Please don't use that word again," I felt my cheeks reddening as I heard my girls giggle.
I turned to look at my friends and gave each of them a hug.
Cassie and Gabby gave me a hug at the same time. "We missed you so bad Sophie," Cassie cried out.
"Yeah. Hawaii is so not the same without you," Gabby added before they released me from the three-way hug.
"I missed you all so much as well," I looked at the two of them before my eyes landed on my other friends; Sam, Lois, Harry, Ron and Drew.
They took turns in hugging me and then I pulled Frank from my mother's side and introduced him, "Well, I was saving this for later but so that you know at least his name, this here is Frank... my fiance."
I saw the shocked looks on their faces and I felt Frank's grip on my hand tightened.

High School
Drew
I can't help but look around as we entered the cafeteria. it was crowded as usual but I had to make sure if she was around.
And as if a spotlight was suddenly lit, I saw her. Probably clearer than the other people in the cafeteria.
She had her hair tied in a pony tail and she was wearing a yellow dress that made her skin look glowing.
I slowly made my way behind her on the line, "Hi! My name's Drew." She turned my way and gave me a smile that literally took my breath away.
"Hey, I'm Chloe," she introduced herself. She then noticed the people behind me on the line and waved. "Hi girls!"
I looked back and saw Lois, Sam, Gabby, Sophie and Cassie followed by the guys. I turned back to Chloe and asked, "Would you like to sit with us?"
"If its okay with you friends. Who do you sit with anyways," she asked as we slowly inched our way towards the food.
I jerked my thumbs towards my friends and said, "Them. I don't think they'll mind. You've met the girls earlier right?"
She looked towards the direction of the girls then smiled upon looking back at me, "I'd love to and thank you!"
Sophia
I noticed the way Drew's eyes started searching once we entered the cafeteria. And I noticed as well how his eyues lit up when he went towards the lunch line.
He went behind Chloe and said, "Hi! My name's Drew."
"Hey, I'm Chloe," she introduced herself. She then saw us behind Drew and gave us a smile and waved. "Hi girls!"
Drew looked at us before turning back to Chloe and asking her, "Would you like to sit with us?"
"If its okay with you friends. Who do you sit with anyways," she asked as the line moved and we came closer to our lunch choices..
Drew pointed at us and said, "Them. I don't think they'll mind. You've met the girls earlier right?"
Chloe looked towards our direction and smiled before grinning at Drew and answering, "I'd love to and thank you!"
I saw how Drew's eyes shone with happiness. And that was when I realized a few things.
The first one being that Drew didn't like Cassie. I mean he likes Cassie but not like-like.
The second one, Drew likes Chloe. I could see it with the way he was smiling whenever he was talking to her and how his eyes sparkles.
Third, I kinda like-like Drew. How did I know? Seeing Drew smiling at Chloe and looking at her with that certain glow in his eyes kinda makes me wish that I was Chloe and that it was me he was looking at.
And lastly, that I can't like Drew. we are so good at being friends that it would all go down the drain once he realizes how I feel. And I can't lose Drew.
