The box

Augusts POV

As I open my eyes I look around to see everything is pitch black, I look upwards to vaguely see the outline of a metal looking lid.

"where am i" I say knowing there is probably no one here,
"the maze" says a voice
"I'm Alby,I was not expecting anyone else, guess I got lucky" Alby said
"So did you forget everything like I did or I'm the only one?" He questions

I- I- I don't remember I- what do you mean a maze, why can't I remember anything, why- I say frustrated, confused, shocked and scared.

"It's ok I was pretty spooked when I first came up in the box, had no one to tell me where I was and no one me to help me out of this bloody box, it took me at least 30 minutes to get out of the stupid thing" he said

Then he helped me out of the box walked over to a Hammick looking thing.

"There should be other one in the box, I'll get it later but meanwhile I'll show you about" alby said.
"It's not much though"

"O- ok I guess" I said

Then he started to explain how he had made a little hut while living here for Storage of the stuff that came with him, and he had started to make a garden"

"So this is where I will put your Hammick if they put one in the box" he said pointing towards two trees near by his hammick.

He went to unload the stuff while I just recovered from shock, when he came back I asked him what he meant by "they"

"Oh I mean the supposing creators of this place" alby said.

"Oh I see so Um" I mutter under my breath.

"What do we do now?"

"Ahh I'm not exactly sure" Alby said with Extreme awkwardness in his voice
"I guess I can let you settle in um I'll go do something of some sort"

Don't go to far and don't go into the maze there are these monstrous things, I hear them at night and I believe the maze walls change I'm not exactly sure" he says flipping his hands around the place whilst rambling on.

Oook um should we name the so called monstrous things just in case any one else comes in the box you know so we can make a good first impression since I didn't really understand what you were just on about" I say earning a playful glare.

"I'll think about it later but for the time being just settle in, who knows if and how we're gonna get out of here" Alby says.

"O ok" I say for probably the 8th time

🏳️‍🌈time skip🏳️‍🌈 to the day newt arrives

It has been awhile since I got to the glade (that's what me and Alby have decided to name the place) I have taken a liking to Alby he's all I have now since the craters brainwashed us Well I think that's what they did.

"Hey I'm gonna go into the maze" Alby said

"Don't go to far ok" I said

As soon as he stepped foot in the maze I started to worry.

When alby was in the maze I just plodded around trying to push the negative thoughts away I kept doing that in till I heard a sound of something that kinda sounded like what alby said the box was like, so I ran towards it as fast as I could go, when I got there the box was indeed there with a blond boy.

The boy just looked at me with a frightened face.

"Who are you where am I I I what the bloody hell is this place why can't I remember anything" the blond said.

"The glade, its inside a maze no we haven't found a way out yes it's normal not to remember anything" I said with Eas

"And before I open this lid don't go running of to the maze there is no point, the doors close at night and if you get lost you will be out there all night" I said

"And don't be saying 'That's not to bad' being stuck in a maze all night with no food water and you will be stuck with what I like to call Grievers"

"Monstrous creatures could probably kill you with a blink of an eye but I haven't seen one nor has alby so who knows what they can do talking about alby he should be back soon" I rambled on

"You talk a lot" the blond rumbles.

"Shut up shit face" I said

I don't think I'm gonna like this guy.
