Loveless

Part four

The crowning ceremony was getting prepared or more accurately the most important persons where getting ready.
A big crowd was in the ball room with the throne standing at the end of the room pedestal so everyone could see it from the other end of the room.
On the sides were benches so that all could sit down watching the ceremony. While everyone began to sit down his little sister went into the room smiling -like she always is when other people are around - and watching everyone till a guard came to her escorting her next to the throne where little chairs are for her and -normally- her brother.
Meanwhile Jack was getting set up for the ceremony.
He got into his clothes after a long time of getting washed and everything. At this point he was getting kinda anxious because he knew that his life was getting harder from now on even though he had a lot of training by his father and his uncles but still - he was getting anxious.
His father came in completely dressed up with his crown on his head, his garment and his cape.
He was talking to Jacks personal servant and everyone else in the room, waiting till everything is ready for Jacks big day. He saw the anxious eyes of his son but he knew that was normal - Jack was like him he was anxious to but he learned to hide it and Jack needed to learn that now without Elinore.
He was happy for his son that this girl wasn't there anymore she changed him and she changed everything in this kingdom even though he knew it was not everything but he never thought that she would be a good Queen with her peasant like life.
But sometimes even the king thought about telling him what really happened with her but not today and not in the next years it was something for his death bed

The ceremony started.
Jack came was standing in-front of the room knowing that with the first step he took into the room he also was starting a new life without the love of his life alone, just with that hole in his chest and the memories of her with him where she should've been or could've been if he didn't let her alone that day.
But he needed to stay focused now for the next hours, looking like everything is alright as if his heart wasn't empty like it is right now.

As he took his first step into his new life everyone was watching him but he was trying his best to look worthy for the role of the King.
<Just walk slowly and straight to the throne Jack> he thought while trying to hold up his happy face, his smile that she liked so much.
<Stay focused Jack! Just these few hours!> he felt like his thoughts would yell at him in any moment.
Finally he was standing infront of his father who look at him with happy eyes while staying completely calm.
Jack was kneeling down while his father began with the big speech he prepared while taking the sword - his sword.
"Today is a big day for me and for our kingdom - for all of us. Today I'm giving my throne to my beloved son.
So Jack will you promise to be a good king - being there for our people -for every house -every animal and for everyone that will be a part of this society while being the King of Tasore? "
Jack nodded "Yes my Lord"
- this was the part where his father tapped his right shoulder with his sword.
"Will you follow and protect our rules that are holding the society ?"
Jack nodded again "Yes my Lord
- his father tapped Jacks left shoulder now with the sword.
"Finally are you accepting the throne I left for you with all the glory and will you keep that for the following generations while staying loyal to the kingdom and protecting the peace it has right now"
Jack nodded while smiling a little bit.
"Yes my Lord!"
-his father tapped on the top of his head.
And just like this Jack gave away his old life and starting a new one - would've he knew what followed after that he would've never said yes.
