"Here," you stretched out your right hand holding securely wrapped onigiris to Kakashi who's busy checking his ninja tools.

"Oh!" Kakashi gasped, "For me?" He accepted the prepared travel food for him, feeling the warmth in his heart over the affection.

"Who else could it be for?" You jokingly nudge his waist.

Kakashi jolted, chuckling a little on how cute his lover is, and that he couldn't help but take you in his arms.

You pressed your body on him to embrace him back, you looked up to him just to find him already looking back at you. "I'll miss you," you softly mumbled.

Kakashi felt his cheeks grow warm, he never felt this so much love before. "I promise to finish my mission as quickly as possible so you won't miss me much." He assured, eye-smiling at you.

"Alright, I'll be waiting for you here at home." You tiptoed to give him a peck through his mask before you pulled away yourself from him. "Take care."

"_______. I'll be back, three days the least." Kakashi tousles your hair.

It's been a week.

Kakashi hasn't come back nor sent Pakkun to give an update to you nor for the Hokage. You know that it is normal to happen, especially if it's an A-Rank mission, but still, you can't help but feel worried for Kakashi.

Since staying up late just keeps you on making up randomly horrifying scenes that could happen to Kakashi while on the mission, you decided to get cleaned up, and head to bed. You draped over your body the shuriken-designed blanket that you and Kakashi shared most of the time. His scent still lingers in the blanket, making you feel just enough comfort to doze into sleep.

Kakashi's tired. He feels as if his body keeps on getting heavier as he dragged himself on the familiar path on the way home. He's tired but his excitement to come home to you is undeniable, he even dismissed the thought of reporting straight to the Hokage as he reached Konoha.

Instead, he wants to be with you as soon as possible. He missed you so much and he couldn't wait to lock you in his arms again, just to nestle in your natural warmth.

Upon reaching his destination, he went straight ahead after removing his shoes, heading where he can smell your scent the most.

In the bedroom.

There, he found you quietly sleeping, your body wrapped in the shuriken-designed blanket, but he can't clearly see your face since he didn't open the lights ever since he got in the house. It's just the grace of the moonlight from the window that he can actually have a sight of your figure from the door.

Quietly, he closed the door behind him before walking towards you, and he crouched just enough close to you. Kakashi's heart felt a sense of relief just by admiring you.
