"I won't marry your daughter, Sir. I'm so sorry."

I closed my eyes before uttering those words. Though I never promised to marry Cassandra, it's still sting cause I've made him think I will.

"What's the sudden change of mind? Don't you find my daughter pretty enough to be your wife? Or is it because of her condi---"

I cut him off. "No, Sir. Nagkakamali kayo. It was never her condition. I just don't want to marry someone just because her father wanted me to."

Huminga siya nang malalim at pinakatitigan ako. Don't really know what's with Mr. Robles - marrying her daughter off to me. He knows my history. I ain't good for her daughter. I fuck and leave. I am not a good person. I'm an asshole and so why me, of all men?

"I just wanted to see my daughter in her wedding dress before I die."

"You're not going to die. Ilusyon niyo lang yun." I can't help but be sarcastic. Who on earth will send his daughter away to a trash and chaotic person like me?

"And besides, you are going to hurt her big time. Your daughter is fragile. What he needs is your protection and obviously marrying her off to me will never be the best option. Mas may deserving pang iba diyan."

"Do you think I didn't try negotiating with other men?"

Kumunot ang noo ko. So my hunch is right? Pinapamigay nga niya si Cassandra. What a pathetic dad!

"But none of them looked at Cassandra the way you do. They all feel disgusted just because she's special. I don't want to entrust my daughter to them!"

"Sir, babae po si Cassandra. Tao siya. May karapatan siyang pumili ng aasawahin niya. Hindi siya bagay na pwedeng ipamigay na lamang."

Seriously, this guy is getting on my nerve. Can't he get it? He's ruining his daughter's future.

"Your daughter will never be happy with me! I am not good a person. I'll just end up hurting her one day. I couldn't even take care of myself tas bibigyan mo pa ako ng aalalahanin?"

"If you really want to marry you daughter off to me, you have to assure me something."

I smiled evilly. Mukhang nabuhayan ang matanda.

Lumapit ako sa swivel chair niya at doon umupo. I started writing my own conditions for this set up.

"Let's the negotiation in the right way, Mr. Robles. I don't just throw my freedom away just to marry a visually impaired woman."

"Okay, I will accept all conditions." He said bravely. Hope you don't regret, Mr. Robles.

"I will only accept this deal if you can give me 3 things. First, I want to have 45% of your share in this company. You know my father don't really like me that much and so he never give any share. At least, by marrying your daughter, I'll have 45% of your share and malay mo, after this, that 45% may kick my father out of this company."

"Second, you'll announce me as the new CEO once the marriage happens. Total, matanda ka naman na. You don't need to operate on the company. You can just stay in the house with Cassandra. I will be doing my best to do your job as the CEO. You know my capabilities, Sir."

"And the last but not the least, if I get to marry Cassandra. You will never get her back. Kung darating ang araw na gusto niya akong iwan, hindi pwede yun! You already sold her soul to me and so you will never take her back. Now, Mr. Robles? What do you think of my conditions?"

Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

"Fine. The company is nothing compare to my daughter's safety."

I was just bluffing - making nonsense conditions and yet here he is - taking the bait. I was fucking surprised.

"I only have one condition, Sahia. You don't hurt nor let my daughter get hurt or else, all your conditions will vanish. I swear, I will kill you myself if my daughter get hurts."

Now, how did you end up in this mess Sahia?
