Kayla's POV:

"They’re WHAT?!" The oh-so familiar icy cold voice sent a chill crawling up my spine.

"Yep." I grumbled in annoyance, as I picked a dead leaf off of my cropped black, wool sweater. I sighed, resting my head back against the rough bark of the large maple, as I sensed Christian wearing a trail in the dirt, pacing back and forth in front of me. Everything was dead silent around us in the little forest we were in. No animal or insect would be stupid enough to be in a few mile radius of Christian, let alone, make any noise. I don’t understand how or why, but then again, there is plenty for me still to learn.

"You’re sure that it’s, them?" his voice was dripping with disgust; rubbing his freshly shaved chin as he processed the new information. I nodded slowly, my eyes flicking towards him; a pit of nervousness growing steadily inside me. Everything was quiet momentarily, until I saw his eye twitch, which only happens when he’s severely pissed off. "Those BASTARDS!" His voice suddenly boomed throughout the forest, splitting the silence that had settled over it like a butcher's knife. I flinched instinctively inward, recoiling from the sound. His eyes held rage dancing within them, his regular, hazel eyes now bordering on pitch black. “They picked one hell of a time to show up again!” He growled menacingly.

That's Christian for you. A cocky, egotistical dick, who holds himself high on a pedestal way above everyone else in existence. Over the nearly four and-a-half years I've come to know him, I've witnessed 2 main sides to him: Evil, and sadistic. Well, asides from the few attempts at what he thinks are "sweet" gestures he's made towards me, but even those somehow turn around to benefit him in some way..

"It’s been five years. Maybe they’ve changed? Maybe I should try to regain the strong friendships I had with them..." I sighed sadly as I folded my arms across my chest. I hadn’t realized fully until now how much I actually missed the other boys as well. Feeling nothing but hurt, anger and hatred for every moment of every day tends to blot out the good that was present in your life before that.

Christian smirked menacingly, pushing off from the trunk of the tree, and closing the miniscule distance between us. His short, perfectly parted midnight black hair rustled in the wind, green eyes shining with amusement, as they gazed into my bright blue ones.

Christian Belstoph was a very, good looking man, although his personality is complete and utter shit. Given, if the circumstances were a lil’ different, I'd might have even been attracted to him. Tall, lean, mysterious; any girls' dream.

Except for me, he was more like a nightmare.

"Now you know that’s not possible. You know the rules..." His deep, rough voice sent chills through me as his warm breath fanned my face. "No one can know our little secret." If my heart was beating, it would be pounding steadily away at his close proximity, as he placed a stray piece of my dark hair behind my ear. I so desperately wanted to cringe away, but he had a strange hypnotic power over practically anyone and everyone.. "If they do find out, they have to be punished..." He whispered directly in my ear, before smirking like a mad-man. My breath hitched in my throat as his rough, wet lips connected with my neck. I was caught in a blissful daze for about 3 seconds; that is, until reality set in. I recoiled suddenly from his touch, and summoned up all my strength and willpower, before I flung him into a decaying tree crumpled on the ground, catching him completely off-guard.

His eyes burned with rage, as he flew up beside me in a mere second; recovering quickly, causing me to flinch in shock.

"Watch it, newborn. I happen to hold your little loverboys' life in the palm of my hands." His face twisted into a smirk, before uprooting a 10 foot tree clean from the ground, his biceps flexing under his tight, black t-shirt. With a wink, he sent it hurling a great distance away, smiling proudly at his work. My eyes followed its path, my superhuman hearing picking up a very prominent 'thump' about a half kilometer away. "Unless you would like me to do that to him, I suggest you listen to what I say, and be the good little girl I've trained you to be." He patted me on the head mockingly, as if I were an untrained puppy. Each pat, I winced, crinkling my face in anger.
