Little Moments.

A high-profile case broke loose a couple of days ago causing Olivia and Alex both to be absent from your home. Leaving you and Noah both uneasy and longing for them to return soon. While you understood the job there was never a time you didn't worry or miss them terribly. After getting Noah settled for the night you retreat to your bedroom. The bed seemed colder and bigger with only you occupying it. After hours of staring aimlessly at the ceiling, you finally drifted to sleep.

Olivia stumbles in around midnight carelessly kicking off her shoes and clothes before dropping into the bed. The sudden movement wakes you as you turn to her. You smile happily as you lean in to kiss her lips. She mumbles an "I love you" before passing out.  You chuckle running your fingers through her hair before sleep takes over again.
A whisper and soft touches wake you again as you look up to see Alex standing over you. She smiles as she softly whispers your name again pulling you from your slumber. "Hey baby," you whispered in a husky tone. "Hi, my love. You want to scootch over so I can lay down?" she asked you chuckling. During your sleep, you somehow managed to occupy her side holding her pillow against you. You nod moving over to allow her some space.  She pulls back the covers climbing into her spot. Not even giving her a moment to settle you slide closer to her wrapping your arm around her waist and your leg lays across hers.

She chuckled as you went into "koala mode" as she calls it. Sighing happily you cuddle against her inhaling the scent of her shampoo. "I missed you," you whispered. "I missed you too. I see Liv passed out over there." she chuckles. "She was asleep as soon as she hit the bed." you chuckled. "Hmm. I envy her." Alex whispered. "What time is it?" you asked. "Umm, 2 am I believe. I got in around 1:30 and took a shower and did my skincare," she mumbled. You hummed in acknowledgment leaning in to place kisses all over her face. She giggles grabbing your face to place a kiss on your lips. "I really missed you today y/n and Noah. It was rough but I am happy to be home," she tells you. You smile against her lips "we're happy you're home too. Both of you."

Alex sighs in content holding you close as she watches the lights run across the ceiling from the outside world. You knew her insomnia was bad and you felt terrible that she rarely gets the rest she needs. Reaching up you caress her face "Do you want to talk about it?" you asked. Shaking her head she sighs "No. I just want to hold you." Nodding your head you place it on her chest as your fingers lazily draw patterns on her stomach. "I love you, Alex," you whispered into the dark. "I love you too," she whispered placing a kiss on top of your head. Olivia chooses this moment to roll in her sleep snuggling close behind you she wraps her arms around your waist. Her hand falls onto the lower part of Alex's stomach. The three of you hum in content as you drift off to sleep.
