part 3 - the band

(nobody's POV)

"Well guys, Nick's coming over soon. Should we tell him about the band idea?" Clay asked the group, turning around to face them. "Sure, as long as you guys don't kiss on stage or something." Alex sneered, his mouth half full of pancakes. "For the last time Alex, we aren't dating! We don't even like each other." Clay sighed. It was about the millionth time someone had a comment about Clay and Nick. "You sure about that?" Karl said while cracking up over Alex's joke. "Yeah, pretty sure. I mean we're both-" Clay got cut off when he heard a knock on the door. "It's Nick!" he exclaimed, running towards the door to open it. "Simp." Alex muttered under his breath, giggling. Clay ignored Alex's 'stupid' comment and hastily opened the door.

"Hey!" Nick smiled. "Hi! Pancakes are on the table, they're still warm!" Clay smiled back, making eye contact with Nick for just a split second, making his cheeks turn pink. "SIMP ALERT!" Karl yelled, making both him and Alex burst out laughing. "Guys shut up! They don't know we know yet!" George exclaimed, cracking up. "They've been at it all morning, I don't know what they're on about." Clay whispered to Nick, side-eyeing Alex and Karl, who were practically on the floor laughing. "Don't worry, George was going absolutely crazy about it last night over text. I don't even know where they got it from." Nick whispered back, looking at George, who was smirking at him. "Do you see your face right now? Red ass bitch." George mouthed to Nick, still smirking. "Shut up." Nick mouthed back, looking displeased. "What's he saying?" Clay asked, looking over at George, who was still smirking. "Ehh, nothing. Just being a dick." Nick replied, still glaring at George. "Well, we'll have to just ignore it before they try and force us to kiss or something, haha." Clay chuckled, looking over at the shorter boy next to him. Nick could feel his face going red.

After they all ate, they sat on the couch and put on the TV. "So Nick, Clay has something to tell you-" Alex said before bursting out laughing. "Oh?" Clay jerked his head up, confused on what was happening. "The band idea, you dipshit!" Karl yelled at Clay. "Oh- Oh yeah! So we were all thinking since we each have some degree of skill, we could start a band! Like you- you play electric guitar, Karl plays electric bass, Alex literally has a drum set in his room, and me and George actually have decent singing voices. And I mean we're all down so- so if you are we're set!" Clay stuttered, nervous if Nick would say no. "I- I mean sure like it'd be cool to play guitar on stage, not gonna lie." Nick said, being interested in the idea of being on stage. "Well I mean you've already played on stage before, violin bitch!" Alex laughed. "At least I don't work at McDonalds." Nick mumbled. "OH YOU-" Alex lunged at Nick, yet again. "ALEX NO NOT AGAIN-" Karl screamed, grabbing Alex before more destruction was caused. He dragged a fuming Alex back to the couch before sitting down himself and sighing. 

"Well, so that's a yes?" Clay asked, trying not to crack up over Alex's pouting. "Oh- uh yeah. It seems fun!" Nick smiled, making eye contact with Clay again. "Guys literally just kiss al-" Alex said, before being cut off by George slapping him. "Ow! What was that for!?" He yelled, doing the pouty face again. "What do you think, you muppet?" George said, a disappointed frown plastered on his face. "Well, it's almost 3pm, what should we do now?" Clay sighed, laying back onto the couch. "I have an idea!" Alex exclaimed, his eyes lighting up like fireworks. "Well, spit it out then." Karl sighed, knowing it wouldn't be anything sensible.

"We could play truth or dare!"
