"" yes, i have to....how's Alhaji's health?""
I was supposed to spend two more days in kano with my family but Alhaji was admitted to the hospital a day before. Though we spoke and have been speaking on the phone, i still want to go and see him. He told me not to bother but ofcourse i will be bothered, i care for Alhaji just the same way i care for my family. I see Alhaji as a father because he has taken me nothing less than a son. If there's anyone i respect, love and care for after my mum, my siblings and Faisal, it's most definitely Alhaji.
""....the doctor said it's he's blood pressure that's rising"" faisal said with a sigh. I am not even the slightest bit surprised, why would i?. A man that can't have his peace of mind in his house, under his own roof, he's always being frustrated by his crazy nagging wife and psychotic brat son. Tell me, what worst can happen to such a man other than blood pressure?

"" Ok tohm. Sai anjuma"" i said and he hung the call.
I turned to leave maman hanan's corridor back inside my house but immediately i looked up from my phone, i was face to face with maman hanan. Ya ilahi does this woman want's to give me a heart attack?. To say i wasn't frieghtned will be a lie. I thought she've gone inside her house since, what is she still doing?
I only came to give her my phone so she could talk with her son, she doesn't have a cell phone with her because it was stolen when her visitors came for a meeting. It's very funny to my ear, like all of a sudden she couldn't find the phone after everyone was gone. Very good! maybe she'll learn a lesson and stop inviting those her lousy friends frequently in the name if some meeting.
I know she might not stop completely but am sure she'll reduce it, it's too much, very annoying and irritating. They will always come to her house, sometimes every weekends while most at times you will just be having a good rest, then hear their noises. I always wonder how the voice of women can be that high pitched, not to forget about their hypocrisy laugh.
"".. Maman hanan?"" I called and she just gave a nervous smile to that.
"" uhmm..thank you"" she appreciated genuinely with a smile, but her smile wasn't normal, it was still nervous, i nodded anyways. But she didn't dismiss or made to, seriously maman hanan!?
I don't like this kind of situation at all. Why is she behaving this way?. There sure is something she wants to tell me from the look of things but she doesn't know how to go about it or something like that.... Now what am i to do? Start asking her what she has in mind or what? I mentally sighed and walk pass her, i got impatient already. Surreptitious woman! she did not stop me which means she really had nothing to say.
"" Taleeb wait!"" Maman hanan called, I stopped right on my track, i turned and walked back to where she was standing.

"" Na'am maman hanan?"" I said and she sighed in a contemplated manner, as if what she's about to tell me is going to cause her losing her dear title.
"" There's something i have to inform you about.. I know you aren't aware of it, I am hundred percent sure you are not. Your ummi won't be happy with me if she finds out that you came to know about this from me, it might even affect the relationship bond between us. At the end of this, she is going to be very furious because she warned me not to utter a word about this to you but i have to....you deserve to know and i am tierd of staying with guilt, especially when you are around"" maman hanan said.
