Aspen's POV
"Ready?" The Cowboys PR person asks as I step up onto the podium.
"Yep." I say then I wait as the Cowboys PR person introduces me at the weekly press conference.
I hate press conferences.
"...so please raise your hand and I'll call on you." The Cowboys PR person says then multiple people raise their hands.
The beginning questions are about the Las Vegas Raiders, who we play on what America calls Thanksgiving Day.
Like my girlfriend Emma, I refer to Thanksgiving as Family Day.
Eventually the questions move away from our game plan, which I give a very vague answer too, and moves to off the field stuff.
"Did you read any of the things that Jon Gruden said about you in those email's?" Some dude asks.
Jon Gruden is the former coach of the Las Vegas Raiders who said a lot of homophobic, racist, misogynistic, and other fucked up things in emails.
"Not when they first came out." I admit. "But since we're playing the Raiders this week I did."
"And what did you think of what you read?"
"I don't concern myself with other people's opinions." I say. "Especially when those opinions are racist, sexist, misogynistic, and homophobic."
"Do you think having two girlfriends is okay?" Some dude asks.
I've had to answer bullshit questions like this every day.
"Are there any questions about football?" I ask then nobody says anything. "Then I'm done."
"Thanks Aspen." The Cowboys PR person says then I leave the room and head down to the locker room here in our team practice facility in Frisco.
Once in the locker room, I head to my locker, take off my pads and cleats, hang everything up then I go take a shower.
After I shower, I dry off, change into my normal clothes, put on my jewelry then I grab my stuff and leave the locker room.
"MAMA." I hear my little boy say as I come out of the locker room.
I turn towards the sound of my baby then I see Apollo, Hazel, and Kingsley running at me as Emma and Jessie walk behind them.
"My babies." I say as I scoop the kids up in a hug then I smother them in kisses.
"Hi Aspy." Hazel and Kingsley say.
"Hi Mama." Apollo says as I stand up with the kids in my arms.
"And to what do I owe the pleasure of being surprised by my five favorite people?" I question as Emma and Jessie get to us. "Hi Ladies."
"Hi Astro." Emma and Jessie say with a smile then they peck my lips.
"We has a surprise." Apollo says.
"Oh you do?" I say with a smile.
Apollo nods then Emma and Jessie take their kids from me before they start leading me towards the indoor practice field here in the Cowboys training facility.
"What are we doing?" I ask as Emma takes Apollo from me after we've gotten to the practice field.
"Hey." I hear my niece say. "Don't hog Apollo."
"Kimora?" I say then I turn around and come face to face with the US Women's National team. "What are you all doing here?"
"We're doing a charity flag football match." Tobin says.
